The autoshifter mechanism... the whole thing. The gear shifter on the floor can be in any gear, but if a cable doesn't move right, the indicator on the dash wont match up and the gun can do funky things. WTF is up with that? Sunvisors are chinsy as something you would buy at K-Mart. I don't like the...

No kidding... I just looked up the price on these 550 injectors... 147 bucks times 4 of them. What's up with that? I remember buying them for my Supra for only 40 bucks each! Well, I hooked the Sub's battery up to my jeep for the boost in amps and to recharge the mattery. Took about 2 minutes or so,...

It's been some time since a tune up. 9 months or so.

Deformed O-rings? Interesting. And once that was fixed, the engine had no problem starting? Could an O-ring be the cause of loss of fuel line pressure?

Emergency Beacon: Cranks - Doesn't start - Desperate!

Guys, I am in big trouble here! Last week or so my Legacy has been getting harder and harder to start in the mornings. I have to crank it over several times... er... for a minute or so before it fires up. Then it can drive all day just fine, unless I let it sit for more than 4 hours, and then it's d...

Some folks tend to run lean on the anti-freeze stuff in the coolant because of the richer the water/anti-freeze mixture is, the less heat it transfers. So if you run a bit hot, you back off on the Anti-Freeze. You want some, to lower the boiling point... but it's a balance. Redline's Water Wetter is...

If it's just for this one winter... just park it as normal. Jack it up so it's not sitting on the tires. Put in a couple sun shades. Disconnect the battery and pull it out and keep the battery some place where it wont get so cold. Drain out the coolant so freezing doesn't burst the radiator. Used co...

Cracked or warped... or maybe just a blown gasket but I doubt that.
I've had this on an Audi, and the diagnosis was not good. The block was cracked. In a Scooby, I don't know.

Yes, Ducati's are sweet, but also a little spendy. A Nighthawk 750 is indeed a good general purpose/sport bike. Solid recomendation there. If you want something a little more low slung, more cruiser flavored... Take a good look at the Suzuki Intruder. It's a very under rated machine and soft on the ...

Just a trade. I wouldn't get much for selling it. It's a salvage title. The AC needs work. The automatic shifter is nekked. Has pushbutton started because the key wont engage anymore. Other than that it runs strong and fast. You gotta love the looks on the faces of the Honda hottrodders when you blo...

Wait a sec... I was looking at these things. They are too small. I couldn't use it. For some reason I thought they were bigger than a Ranger, but I was wrong. THey just looked bigger to me because they are jacked up with large wheels. No one with an old F-150 or something? Oh well. I thought I'd off...

Indeed, we get a lot of snow. Last year, I went through the Utah Winter with it, then after it slowed down (snow fall that is) I went to Richmond, VA. The day after I arrived, a Blizzard hit. The only thing on the roads were Jeeps and other Subarus.

My other car is a 4X4 Jeep Cherokee :P

D'OH! I've talked to a few guys out here with some old trucks for sale.. like a '78 Ford, selling it for 1000 bucks. They were all very interested in trading for a 92 car until I told them it was a Subaru. For some reason Subarus are persona nongrata out here. I'm in Utah, out in the middle of nowhe...

That's a lot of jingle for a toy...

But that is a pretty danged cool toy. Especially if you could do a few things to it... Forced induction... higher output sparks... Or put it on something different like a little peddle car.

Okay... maybe not. That would be just silly.

Anyone want my 1992 Legacy?

I like my Subaru... it's fast and comfy... very agile... It's an 4WD AT... The Vin shows an "X_N96" and if I decoded that right, means it's 4WD with an autostick. Search out my posts about this car's quirks. Power everything. AMFM Cassette. Like I said, I like it, but it's a small car and ...

I'd like some information as well. I'm driving my auto tranny Legacy around with the plastic shifter console off of it and the handle removed. I'm using an aligator clip to connect the wires that lead to the button to select Auto or Manual (turning on the little "manual" light on the dash....
