Sounds like maybe a transmission fluid change might work + from trans-x additive.

Re: RPM vs gas mileage
It shouldn't really matter if it's at 3100rpm. That is pretty good IMO I would look into a o2 sensor that would affect highway fuel economy quiet a bit. Id also get new spark plugs and run a large gap.

Re: What transmissions fit?
Id stick to turbo legacy transmissions and wrx transmissions even better look into a 6spd preferably a non-dccd but you can get a dccd tranny and a cheap controller.

Exhaust leak fixed and bought the brass restrictor and now Boost control seems good, and response is perfect. Loving it!! Will update if I find anything to perfect idle.

I think using something tar based in a tube that never dries would work. Why not just simply use a high temp silicone or rtv copper?

Re: Which Standalone to buy?
I think the revtronix chip works pretty good. Now that I found another huge exhaust leak before the turbo and the car runs as good as it does I am pretty happy! My idle is good enough by no means perfect, but I am betting if I run a walbro 255hp it will be fine and the fuel trims will have more room...

Re: driveshaft related to vibration at 40mph?
I replaced the 2 bushings on the bracket, replaced my crossmember bushings with poly ones, replaced main mount with group n and there was no change obviously stiffer but no change in vibration. The bearing actually seemed fine the rubber was a bit worn but didn't seem like the issue no play in anyth...

driveshaft related to vibration at 40mph?
Hey guys after I swapped my car to 5spd I noticed right around 40mph my car vibrates but not a consistent vibration. I only swapped the propeller end and I am wondering if there is a particular way the balancers should be lined up? There is 2 ways the properly can go on so I am thinking I should rem...

Re: Revtronix idle really driving me crazy!
Hmm your definitely right definitely better today. Works on and off I find still definitely not perfect yet pretty economical running 5ish psi at partial throttle
I have a vf39 restrictor pill in place. I ordered a wrx one to see if it makes a difference.

After I replaced the air filter keep hitting boost cut at partial throttle, and I find the boost control isn't very linear at all....

Probably still be cheaper and better to just get ddm h4's because there only $50 and they have a magnetic hi/lo.

Re: Shifting Help, Car wont shift into gear.
Just find another good turbo legacy transmission or a wrx transmission 02-03. I think it is the same final ratio but if you do some searching you will find all the info.

Re: '93 winestone sports sedan
Same happened to me when I bought my car. Definitely work replacing all the parts anyways. Order the waterpump, and the 2 hoses that attach to the wp from the dealer, and get a timing belt kit like this one it has a good belt. At the same time I also replaced the oil pump, but reallistically all I n...

Re: Revtronix idle really driving me crazy!
Another update. Replaced 1/4 bottle of seafoam though many hoses including the IAC, 1/2+ of a bottle in the tank, air filter, cleaned maf, replaced plugs again regapped to .035 and I turned the idle screw 1 turn in. So far so good! Still need to leave the fuel trim maxed out. Well see how it idles a...

Re: Revtronix idle really driving me crazy!
Just a update. I added like 1/8 of a bottle of seafoam I found to 1/2 a tank of gas and today it was around 1/4 of a tank I noticed my idle was damn near perfect! Than I went to fill up and by the time I got home started going back to the way it was. I am thinking I should add a full bottle of seafo...
