Also check Wiseco's website and look for the vehicle applications page. Pretty sure they are offered for 2.2 EJs. Another nice thing about the Wiseco piston is that it's made with the wristpin 'offset' built in, just like stock. While other forged pistons generally do not engineer the offset pin int...

FYI...The compressor wheel is not the turbine. Those bits that sheared away from the comp wheel were the fin tips and maybe housings bits. Also, failing bearings can be anything from the journal bearings to a thrust bearing. What you describe was likely a thrust bearing failure. Those easily can go...

Only real way to know your oil change intervals is to have a sample tested after changes. They can give you good feedback based on the oil you were using and whether or not you can push it out further or not. Generally, the oil is usually good to go on, but the filter needs to be changed more often....

To clear up that td05h thingy here is a website I found: http://www.ztechz.net/id7.html 16g is the turbine wheel, the H after td05 is for an H-style compressor wheel. ^^^True You want the "H" wheel. It's a higher flowing wheel than the std one. The TD06 comes the same way, in either H or ...

Nice job thread starter. I had some NA Phase 1 heads down at the machine shop which were waiting to be tapped for the oil drain and coolant hose. I sold them instead after measuring the cam lobes. I had already spent a bunch of time porting them but the availability of aftermarket cam costs were unr...

Injector failure, what other injectors can I use...

Well yeah, as of yeterday, I've got a 'code 17' for Injector #4 inoperative or something like that. The trouble actually started about 1/2 mile after I left my driveway. I had just replaced the knock sensor as well so I thought that might be a problem. My first thought was that I'd bumped something ...

Okay okay this is resolved :) Due to not knowing these cars very well and how the AT works, I was a bit perplexed. The TPS connector was on but not fully connected. I guess, the other day after buying the car I jumped right in and quickly began the process of changing plugs, plugs wires, PCV, airfil...

first and foremost, when you check the level of ATF the car has to be running/on. Make sure you cycle thru ALL the gears and hold it in each gear for several seconds. Then, with car running, on level surface, and in park, check the fluid level. Thanks but I've already done this. I don't think that ...

AT problems...various!!!

I posted in an older thread but decided to edit it out and start a new one. Anyway, I need some advice quickly on my beater 1990 Legacy LS AWD. I got this freaking car only a few days ago and all was well. I decided to drain the ATF fluid and put new fluid back in. It was fine for about 25 miles or ...

So what do you guys suggest for the rear? Struts will work but the springs will not. Keeping in mind that this is a thrid car and and not supposed to be my daily driver, should I just install the WRX struts and leave the Legacy springs on?

WRX Struts?

I just acquied a 1990 Legacy LS (AWD) and curious if WRX struts and springs will fit. I'm mostly concerned about the struts though as this thing has NO dampening at all right now  It's got 189k miles and by the feel of the suspension, I bet the struts have never been changed. I've still got t...
