Well, what I'm saying is that is the maximum MAF reading at that boost setting. The MAF sensor is pretty much pegged from 4600 RPM to redline. On what turbo? Kinda' like comparing, say a TD04 13T vs a GT3076. Do they both flow the same amount of air at xx.xx/psig (kpa, bar or whatever you want to c...

Raped ape tuned for what octane? For example, I just tuned a Civic the other day w/2.0L bottom-end, B18 head, 4" side exit downpipe, etc and finally I had to have someone get behind the wheel because each pull the damn thing wanted to torque steer off the dyno. On 117 octane and 10:1 CR it made...

Most spark plugs are pregapped from the factory these days... Most of us like to use NGK BKR6E-11 plugs, right? The "11" means "1.1 millimeter gap." So you generally don't need to adjust the gap at all. If you guys are looking to push things a bit further (larger than stock turb...

Your post is confusing as you jump from gap to heat range without really specifying the topic change other than the change of paragraph. However, the second sentence of the second paragraph again returns to a measurement for gap. Seems to me he was just trying to correct what he thought may have be...

Adam, The radiator works in a similar fashion as an intercooler. You get to the point where it gets overworked (heat). That was my point. Bump up to a more efficient radiator and that will do a better a job than a bandaid t-stat. If you can beat the snot out of it between 170-190f and not go any fur...

the 6 -7 -8 you refer to is plug temperature, not gap. It refers to the rate in which the plug can dissipate heat to the head. Unless you have a preignition problem and believe the plug is the hot spot, or you have a fouling problem, there is no reason to change the plug temperature from stock. Hot...

the only thing bad enough to warrant a 900 dollar ticket in Idaho is doing 4wd drifts in school zones. Hell, for 900 they better catch me doing donuts on the playground at lunchtime, fuck. Does that mean you have to rotate the intake to fit that turbo? No, no, no. Rotated mount . That means the mount on the turbo is rotated so that it fits the same as a stock turbo on our funny engines. Noooooooo.....rotated means "rotated" orientation. The only way to fit larger turbos on ...

Yeah you need to be really pissed to get those off LOL. I think it's a 24mm?? The last one I took out I couldn't believe the resistance on it. I used a breaker bar on a 1/2" drive. I was worried that it would strip but didn't fortunately.

If you plan on tracking it, then no. The radiator will not be able to cool enough regardless of the T-Stat. For a DD car then probably yes. It might help some.

The way I generally do a comp test is to remove all plugs. Then start at one of the cyliders and make the way around. It takes very LITTLE effort for the motor to turn over like this. Almost sounds like a sewing machine as the starter cranks the motor. Does your motor sound like this? Spin without a...

beatersubi, you're probably confusing the ECU. You can't run the stock boost control with the TD04's wastegate actuator, because the TD04's actuator is calibrated to 9-10 psi (yes, higher than our stock maximum boost level) whereas the stock turbo's actuator is calibrated to 6 psi. Well that's not ...

Re: AEM Truboost

I was fiddling with it and tried to enter the wastegate boost of 5psi but I couldn't boost more than that, so I entered 10psi and I could actually boost up to that but then it instantly tapers to about 6psi. I have no experience with that particular controller but they all work fairly similarly. Se...

Intake manifold is complete minus coil pack. One head is perfect. The other head has a broken valve. The other valves in that head have not been tested but 'look' okay. I can test it if someone has serious interest. Comes with valve covers, oil filler neck and cap, but no pulleys or plastic covers. ...
