Since Nate has the entire old school Subaru compatible IHI turbo line would one of those be better than a TD04 or TD05?

I'd think the VF8 should be good as folks say it is almost the size of a 16G.

I have a Cusco Front Lower arm bar (4 Point) out of a GC8 Impreza for sale. These fit perfectly on BC Turbo Legacys (I have one on my SS), & weigh just 1-2 lbs.

Dam Nate you have a pretty big collection of turbos! I have a few too many Subaru turbos as well - 12 turbos in fact for just 2 turbo cars, I have to dump a few.... FMIC - forget the top mount speaking from experience you will not have any additional lag. TMIC will just get hot while you wait around...

Well on a 8.5:1 CR 4eat EJ20G the TD05-16G hits MAX boost (17-18psi) @ about 3700RPMS. On my OBS high compression phase II ej22 The TD05-16G hits max boost before 3000 rpms. ? max boost RPMs on a ej22t. Hey which of these 2 turbos will work better for auto-x on a ej22t - TD05-16G 90* inlet or TD04-90* inlet?
I think the TD04 will be better, but have never driven a ej22t with a 16G before.

mini update, xd picture card got corrupted and so no pictures of suspension install and whatnot. Dyno tuned the car this last weekend, will have the pulls up soon. Found out the TD06-17C Typhoon/Cyclone compressor I have was upgraded to either TD06-18G (585cfm @ 1 bar) or TD06-20G (650CFM @ 1 bar) trim. So this little hybird should be a nice upgrade to a TD05-16G once I get the work done to make the TD05-14b into a TD06/TD05 Hybird. Here is some turbo info. ht...

I assume you mean motor.
As No Subarus came with 20G turbos from the factory, he probably meant 16G if you were talking turbos.

The early EJ20G motors out of Legacys have a strange valve-train that folks generally stay away from.
Get a EJ20G out of a WRX & be happy.

Well if you are already in there you may as well upgrade!

Still much cheaper than a new 16G.

They have 16G to 18G compressor upgrades for about $225....

The on/off cel is probably a cracked knock sensor.
