Ogre,
Do you have a part number or brand name for the generic replacement? Did the replacement have all of the conections needed?
Thanks,

Coolant fill tank/reservoir broken!!!!
I was doing a routine check of the coolant lines and system today and broke a nipple off of the coolant fill tank/reservoir. I could not believe how brittle the hose nipples and the reservoir were. I know age, coolant soak and heat all factor into the breakdown of the material. I thought everyone sh...

Where can I find a good dual gauge pod?
I need a good fitting gauge pod for my boost and A/F gauges. I can not find a gauge pod for a '92-'94 Legacy. Where can I buy one?

It was no problem at all. I used a long extension to get to the bolt. Took about 10 min. to remove and install. The torque sepc. calls for 14 ft.lbs. My torque wrench doesn't set at that low of a setting so I used the in.lbs torque wrench. I torqued the knock sensor at 168in.lbs.. Is this the proper...

Knock sensor install questions???
I purchased a new knock sensor for my '92 turbo Legacy. The Haynes manual mentions removing the intake to remove and install the knock sensor. Does the intake have to be removed to install the knock sensor? TIA

I have raced my GN a few times. I don't drag race the GN any longer, it's not worth crashing or spinning into the wall. The best the GN ran was a 7.05@99mph in the 1/8th. mile. This was with a 1.778 short time (60ft). Not to bad for a street car. The yellow T Type ran a 6.75 @ 102mph in the 1/8th. D...

I have a friend that has a GNX. It only has 8,000 miles and stays in the garage all of the time. I think I would rather have a '89 turbo TA. I have drove a few of the turbo TA's. You have the best of both worlds; power and handling. No pics. at this time. My digital camera took a crap. I hope to hav...

I am about two and a half hours west of Charlotte, just out side of Asheville. I did all of the body work myself and a friend painted the car for me. We trade out work so I don't know what a paint job like I have would cost. I only had door dings to glaze in and clear coat to remove. I primed and bl...

New paint on the turbo Legacy!
I finished installing all of the parts after painting my Legacy. I chose to paint the mirrors the same color as the car. I removed all of the moldings, door handles, mirrors, grill, hood scoop, etc.. The car looks awesome with the painted mirrors. This was a big project to be a every day driver. It ...

Ram air with the stock air box.
My legacy has the nose air dam with a hole for fog lamps. My car does not have the fog lamps so I thought this would be a great place to pick up fresh air to feed the air box. I purchased a 3" flex hose at Home Depot for the air duct. I opned the hole in the air box with a air saw to fit the 3&...

I was thinking about upgrading the fuel pump in my '92 turbo. I use the Walbro 340 fuel pumps for the turbo Buicks. Would this be a good pump for my Legacy? Any wiring mods.?

Precat in the up pipe?
I have a friend that told me some of the turbo Legacys have a precat in the up-pipe. Is this ture? I looked at mine and it looks like a round up pipe. Dosent look like a cat would fit in the up-pipe area. Not to mention that it would kill the turbin fins if a piece of the cat came loose.
