But got a good used engine and assembled it in the car. Ive checked all the simple stuff. Just installed a new timing belt. All connections look good. She ...

Arlington, WA - wtb - fcd
Howdy fellas. My good ol touring wagon needs a new fcd. I have a chris piano one now. But it seems to have stopped working. Tried to get Chris to build me a new one but he no longer has the equipment to build one. I'm willing to pay for a new one if anyone can help me get one. Thanks for any and all...

Re: Two bad turbos???
Alright guys. I really appreciate everyone's useful information. So I don't have two bad turbos. I don't even have one bad turbo lol. I will try to make a long story short. The 82 brat build has been a slow build due to not having a ton of cash. I had it running with a very base tune about a year ag...

Re: Two bad turbos???
Yes i too can imagine that. But smells like oil not the sweet smell of antifreeze. As well as it goes away completely after warm. Usually if its a coolant leak it gets worse as the car gets hotter. Hahahaha

Yes. The Only smoke i get anywhere is straight out the tail pipe. Thick and white. Once warm it goes away completely

Two bad turbos???
How's it going fellas? Well ive been working on a 82 brat for a long time now. I installed a ej22turbo engine. It's all fairly new parts. Had been driving it around for a little while. Then all of the sudden it starts smoking on startup especially when it's cold. Once it's warm it runs really really...

Re: Ej22t non turbo build
Ok. Thanks guys. The only bummer for me is only having turbo motors. Haha. Suppose this car might just have to be unnaturally aspirated.

Ej22t non turbo build
I'm interested in doing the ej22turbo motor due to forged internals and piston oil squirters but need it to be non turbo due to expenses and car configuration. And I already have the motor. Can i build it with n/a heads and have good compression?? Or is there another good way to build this type of s...

Re: Megasquirt timing map
Haha. My friend that does it had a page by page sequence for all the soldering. I did it my self tho once we tested it we found that i am no master soldererr. I bridged one connection making my fuel pump not turn on. Pretty simple if u are good with a solder iron and got a guy checking your work and...

Re: please help!! wrx gas tank??
Its possible. If you have a junk yard near by i would grab one out of an awd 91-94. Should be pretty cheap. Maybe the wrx one is just pinned differently. I also would test your pump by it self. Good luck. Let us all know what the problem is. Cuz now im very curious. Wish i could dig around in there ...

Re: please help!! wrx gas tank??
I remember changing my wire harness from tank to under the seat. But i honestly cant remember why, makes sence to me that its a lil different, even tho i was told they are the same. I would think a wrx one would be fine but the connector under the seat mite be different. I had a 91 awd parts car tha...

It was a while ago when I did it. Thought there was a second sensor cuz of the hump in the tank.

Re: please help!! wrx gas tank??
I seem to recall needing to change it when I did my 2wd to awd swap.. Thought it was due to hump in awd tank versus no hump in 2wd tank. But I've been wrong before

Re: please help!! wrx gas tank??
yes tho I cant remember if I needed to extend the wires to reach the sensors..
and if your turning a front wheel drive into a all wheel drive you will need the awd gas tank wire harness.. I belive there is a couple more wires it disconnects from under the seat

It's been quite awhile. But I think I threw the spring away. Just make sure you can blow air thru both directions on that big center valve
