I wouldn't pay more than 2500... But I've never paid that much for a car ever. And I've owned three running, driving, self-modified SS's.

All I've got is one that I took the wheel off of to check if the seal was leaking. It was. I bought it from kierna, for 500 bucks. The wastegate lever was bent, and the compressor wheel looks like it ingested something small once. Deadbolt is gonna charge me 299+ shipping for a rebuild and a new com...

interferance. 2.5l Do not machine the heads!!! Clean the decks carefully, then just replace the gaskets. Also pour in a bottle of cooling system conditioner from the dealer. The part number is SOA635071. Its like three bucks, and the engine is designed to have it in it.

Bepa, I always respect your methods of turning lemons into lemonade. I'm sad to see this car, and engine specifically, go to anyone that does not deserve it. Fixing the head gasket is simple like bepa said, and would be much more fun than selling this thing.

cc the heads, then learn how to port and enlarge combustion chambers the hard way. I've held 25d heads and 22t heads side by side. The 25d heads had larger combustion chambers. But to run those you would need a intake manifold from a 25d, and modify your stock cam gear to go on the 25d camshaft on t...

Sounds like you need new cam seal and o-rings. Valve covers, spark tube seals, washer grommets. you can do that shit with it in the car, just support the motor, unbolt the motor mounts, raise the motor, and put wood blocks between the crossmember and it. Then you can move the motor side to side, and...

So how do you set the second stage boost? Are you forced to run wastegate, and then whatever the boost controller is set at? There is only one controllable level above wastegate boost. its not really a two stage controller.
