I am in 99507, My 91 ss sits waiing for a motor. I'm looking for a 2.5, but a 2.2 will fit the bill no doubt. I know there are hassels with shipping, but I am willing to pay for all costs incurred, and if you include pics of you packaging it, you will have no trouble from me.

For everyone wanting to lift there cars with OEM parts... The only reason the forester has more ground clearance, is because the strut towers are closer to the ground than any other subaru. The best way to acheive five inches of lift over stock, is to get springs and struts, and rear tophats from a ...

I vote for putting it together like it all should be. the pulley is not the problem, your install of the timing covers is at fault. Measure twice, cut once, never falter, always boostin.

you have to tune the piggy back yes. And yes your turbo is capable of 22 psi, although its fairly out of its efficiency range. We have a few guys here in alaska that just tuned their td04's to 20+ just for the heck of it. Those suckers spool fast!

I pulled the motor yesterday, havent split it yet, but I checked my turbo and it has the same ammount of lateral play that it had before, and no axial play to speak of. I think i'm gonna put on a vf-20 ( or whatever comes from a LGT) Unless my friend decides to just give me a newer td04. I'm hoping ...

How bad is metal?

Hey all I just spun out a rod bearing, due to excessive blowby. I pulled off my tmic, and to my suprise, there is about 2 tbsp(alot!) of oil just after the pressure side of my turbo, with a significant amount of metal in it. How likely is it that my turbo is damaged? How easy is it for metal particl...

soooo...my car won't start

However, I know why. 1991 legacy turbo 5mt. nowhere on it does it say sport sedan or ss. I bought it used with a blown turbo and no boost control to speak of for 500 bucks. It sat for about 9 months before I put a td04 on it with a 06 wrx tmic. I also installed a perrin SS recirc BOV, that I (stupid...

I hope your clutch doesn't go out, right after you get it runnig, then you'll feel like a fool for not replacing it when you had the chance. I always do mine, even if its in a ford exploder.

hloy crap klein! With 10 psi you are hitting peak torque so low! I can only imagine what 14 will feel like. One thing I did notice, is that with a nice tune (from PDX, no less) you will have much smoother delivery, especially between 3200 and 5000 rpm. You can see how there are some drastic dips and...
