It could be a design of the fuel system(rails, lines, fittings) that cause some form of restriction, but I would switch the injector to another cylinder, that is a proven method for testing parts.

So I'm looking for some info to lift my 91 ss at least an inch using subaru takeoff parts. I haven't been able to find anythis yet, and I've read both of the stickied threads here. The one that is not this one, was way to confusing with that chart for my lowly brain to figure out. If anyone could li...

The guy just doesn't want to deal with it anymore, he says he has a smaller master cylynder and brake booster, and that someone is making him custom uppipes and downpipes, but I agree totally that the twin turbo setup blows.

I just finished my swap that I've been procrastinating on for about a year. It is fairly difficult, and there is alot to be said for a mcguyver mentality, but I can help you out with pics and motivation. heres a suggestion: Use the td04 if you are just looking for something cheap. If you want an upg...

What kind of BOV are you using? A leaking one could cause boost spikes right? It seems like you are loosing a large ammount of unmetered air.

Look what someone finally tried to do!

I may be a newb, but I've never seen anyone actually put the TT motor in a LHD car. This guy( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-SUB ... dZViewItem) did. I wanna call him and see what his problems with install were.

Subaru charges upwards of $200 for that little bitch. You can get a non-turbo one and modify it a little. I think someone was had a thread for one a little while back.

So this would just drop in? What did you do to the y-pipe? Any way you could post a few more detailed pics? Too bad my mom was in yakima a few weeks ago and she totally would've picked this up for me.

[edit] Could I tee that outlet nipple to a boost gauge and to the wastegate? I'd like to know what I'm running at the turbo, not necesarily what is being fed into the TB.

I used some 1 1/2" plumbing abs and a 45* "WYE" from home depot. I used couplers with worm clamps to attatch the hard pipe to the cast pieces on the intercooler, all found in the same aisle in home depot. I'll take some pics.

I have the same turbo and had the same issue with the hose being too short. I replaced it with 5/8 heater hose, because it is in fact the coolant line. The hard lines with banjo bolts are the oil lines, because oil pressure is about 3 times what the coolant pressure is. Dont skimp on hoses and clamp...

I am in a time crunch.

So I put in a td04 and hooked everything up except for the boost/vacume lines that manage the boost. I would like to run a hose from the pressure side of the turbo to the wastegate nipple, but I don't know what to hook all of the other lines to so as not to set a CEL or have a vacume leak. For refer...

the quote was so high because that was a shortblock. doing that requires swapping heads, intake mani, a few gaskets, its way more work then just dropping in a used engine.

No way will a pre-06 y-pipe fit an 06 intercooler. I have a crinkle red cast y-pipe that will not fit my 06 intercooler, but it will fit my 03 intercooler. The inlets into the cooler are spaced about an inch farther apart in the 06. EDIT: I understand you to be talking about the small cast peices to...
