Re: Removing PCV system?
I have been running this setup for about 5k miles now, and the oil changes have all looked great (new Motor so it was done at 500, 1000, and 2000 miles, and is dues again at 5000). I asked my tuner what they did on all their shop cars and this is it, so that sealed the deal for me running it like I ...

Re: Removing PCV system?
Resurrection from the dead! When I built my wife's 06' wrx, I just T'd the valve cover vents and crank case vent together, and vented them to the ground (hose runs back to the rear of the tranny) and This hasn't caused any negatives, and now the intake /fmic doesn't get filled with oil. Seems like a...

Re: Sti seats
There is a lot of cost in building a cage yourself, I have about $1200 into my Miller welder and $800 into my Tube bender. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm saying if you want to get into it, then go for it, but if you do it it's going to be pricey, and a cage is by no means the project to learn how t...

Re: ej22t w/ ej25 phase 1 heads in a 98 Legacy. I have quest
Or just buy the standalone that I never used because this car never came to be. The JDM ej20k intake manifold is the only one I know of that will bolt to the 25d heads and is setup to have the turbo intake tube pass under it like the wrx's do. I have one of those too haha Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I5...

Sorry I just got your pm a little while ago.
It wires directly in, it might be possible to make a connector for the stock harness using a sacrificed ecu but idk, I just cut my stock harness up. You can download the software for free froklm link's website.

Re: Dip Your Car.com
I have dipped 2 sets of wheels and some interior pieces of my Leggy. I was questioning how well it would hold up to the abuse my winter wheels face, but after this winter I am AMAZED at this stuffs staying power. My car sees plenty of sideways driving through snow/slush and they haven't started to p...

When I did my blaze orange/ gild metalizer wheel setup I noticed that I had to have the cans really warm for the metalizer to spray nicely. I let them sit in a bucket of hot water for a while before spraying each coat

I've never experienced a knocking Subaru from gas, I've head plenty of cold start-up piston slap, rod knock from bad bearings, and valve noise from low oil, but never from bad gas

Just a heads up to you guys, if you put Comprehensive insurance with a high deductible on your car, most company's include free glass coverage with comp and the high deductible makes for a no difference in premiums. Insure, wait a few months, free windshield. Done.

I have a 20k intake that I bought to use on 25d heads, there is quite a bit more clearance under them, but the TB/IAC are also completely different.

I have thought about painting them. A couple are curbed pretty well so they would look better if I did some restoration and painted. I'm not sure what color I would like on them though... Are yours painted? Yeah, mine are painted"cast iron." http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k50/Grayguy/D...

Re: Reading this really breaks my heart.....lol
When I had my SS I drove my silverado all summer because to me buying gas (300miles a week worth at 10.5mpgs)for the truck was EASILY worth having icey cold AC and super comfortable seats compared to the hot bumpy, creaky SS. So really it's all relative to your level of priorities. I decided after D...
