Thanks for the info Mike and Gabe.
I think I'll just mount the Diff on the wall in the shop.

Re: ISO MY91 turbo rear lsd axle stubs
Ha...just found those too on Josh/Legacy777's parts catalog.
Edit: I just read that the SVX might have used the same stubs? Different FD ratio, but there's probably a few more SVX's than '91 SS.....sitting in a Yard w/a blown trans?

Re: ISO MY91 turbo rear lsd axle stubs
Found this opposedforces.com . #4 is the Shaft-axle drive 38415AA010. Shows this is from a '93 Impreza and under the WRX sub-category, but it's European - not JDM. JP-carparts.com shows the same part but shows it for newer models - '94-'97, so doubt it's the right one. Opposedforces doesn't show an...

Re: ISO MY91 turbo rear lsd axle stubs
sorry I can't help, as I'm in the same boat...LSD and stubs. It's 'very' hard to believe that Subaru didn't use these in something else....even if they were a '91 SS only part. I've read about STI axle stubs like these, but obviously they're different. https://i679.photobucket.com/albums/vv153/SnowA...

Re: auto problem/ intermittent power light
Hi Did you do both code 'handshakes' to check for Active and Stored codes? https://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/trans.html Does it ever flash 16 times when first started up? When was the trans last serviced? 289K is a lot of miles, so I'd be thinking the trans could be getting tired. An actual trans...

The ECU doesn't know what to do w/that 'lost air' venting to Atmos. Read up on here about that.

Hi not to argue the point too much more but the bolt holes on the rails are on opposite sides-ej22t/e vs ej25d. Not sure how u made them work? You can see the EJ20G DOHC (same fitment as EJ25D) rails in my post here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2698756&highlight=injectors Tha...

Can the OP put some plain old EJ22e heads on there to make it more 'manageable'? It would probably be as quick as the EJ22T?

Re: Offset Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir
Hi,
The P/N is no go on Google...correct? I wanted to double-check what it looks like.
Also, doesn't come up partsouq.com site. (Ibought a extra EJ20G 90 intake elbow there for <$40.)
Thanks

Re: EJ20G Swap No Injector Pulse (EJ20G Legacy ECU)
Hi,
I don't have any answers, but in my EJ20G thread the K8 ECU isn't listed. Although I thought the EJ20G's should all work, there may be some exceptions.
Rob (RobTune) mentions it HERE.

Re: Ej22t/v6207
Hi, I'm no engine expert so all I'll say is that if you don't know the EJ22Ts' miles/history, maybe the rebuild is worth it. ABS can probably be fixed - deleting looks painful, but haven't done that project. I put 300tq thru the stock 5-speed...it's not the transmission as much as how YOU drive it. ...

Re: 92 legacy SS ECU code troubles
Hi and Welcome, Fix that knock sensor (KS) which is VERY common to fail (likely cracked), and you'll likely cure your other codes as well. If you have a pull and save/used auto parts nearby the '95+ modes were better and will work. You MAY have to 're-pin' the connector. Otherwise, I've heard the ch...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
If you don't have a car yet, and don't plan to run a stock ej22t, I'd like to encourage you to get a 2nd or 3rd gen legacy. They have more parts available at this stage, (arguably) better interiors, better driving dynamics when setup for it (mostly due to stiffer chassis) etc. Since it's not your p...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
Janas19: If you have the option, I believe the '92-'94 had fewer gotchas than the '90-'91. The '90-'91 w/the 5-speed / manual trans had some weird wiring @ the TPS and/or IAC that could requires some work on the harness to the ECU. As well as a different ECU (although still 4 plug, I believe). But m...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
Edit: Wiring harness from the 96 on the 22T heads, that has to be some modification? 96 is OBDII, 22T is OBDI? :| No, EXCEPT for the EJ22T IAC valve*...remember, the SOHC IM works on '90-'98 EJ22e engines, and the harness works w/the matching TPS - everything else plugs in. The heads have the water...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
The sohc ej25s are better for a daily driver imo, whereas the ej25d's are an engine that loves to rev, and are fun in a light car like the original 1998 RS. My 2000 RS had the ej25 sohc, and had nothing up top. Yeah...this makes sense, after 'reflection', as those '99+ SOHC EJ25 heads are supposedl...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
You know what, the ej25 engines make slightly more HP, and slightly less torque than a bone stock ej22t, all on regular. Perhaps that is more what you are looking for. You'll have to do a bit of rewiring with any engine you put in, but that's my vote. yes....if you do the HG w/the new/est gasket yo...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
Wtdash, how are you running the EJ25D ECU on EJ22T heads? That requires custom wiring? No...The '96-'98 Legacy, Impreza and Forester all share the same wiring and harness type - both 2.2 and 2.5 (I don't know about the '96+ EJ18), and they're all OBD2. It was literally plug-n-play. I'm using my sto...

Re: Turbocharging the EJ22E?
For only 7-8psi you don't need to 'build' a bottom end, IMHO. The '90-'96 EJ22e ('96 had different valvetrain and single-port exhaust but same internals) is a strong engine, and you'll find LOTS of others boosting it way more, w/the necessary EM to keep it alive. There are posts on here from Douglas...
