Detonation, Fuel Cut, or Something Else?

I just upped the boost for the first time yesterday. The only mod I have is a Saab 900 intercooler. We figured 10psi would be a good place to put it. Well, it was at 10psi in 1st and was slightly higher in each succeeding gear. In 5th gear it was at 12psi. I was a bit weary of letting the turbo spoo...

FMIC on ebay. Would it work?

I know we don't have much room between the bumper and AC condesor, and I know piping might be a challenge, but how much effort would it require to hook up this intercooler. It's not really tall, not very thick, but makes up in length. Also, would it be easier to upgrade the turbo at the same time, m...

I'm 20. My NA was my second car to an 87 Nova. The NA wasn't enough for me, so last year I bought the turbo. It's more of a project car, and I don't know if I'm going to have the time or funds for it. College, work, etc... I'm lookin at another turbo in a lot better shape at the moment. If I get it,...

Should we expect these headers to stay at this price for a while? Or, how about a group buy to get them at a discounted rate? Just tryin to cut costs wherever I can :D

Would a bigger gap, like say .07 make it hard for a car to start on a cold morning?

Kind of funny, here in Ohio, only 8 counties of 88 have a semiannual inspection, and the only thing they do for out of state inspections is write down the vin number.

Performance Clutch

I recently purchased an aftermarket race clutch for my Turbo Suby. I decided to go with ACT, because I have heard good things about them. When I got the kit, the box said it was for the 02+ WRX. At first we thought they made a mistake and started to get a bit upset, but we called them, and they said...

I've heard that a lot of subarus leak oil from the oil pump and burn up when it hits the exhaust manifold I'm not sure if is the gasket like petridish said, but from the part on top that is held on by like 5 screws. Before my turbo engine was put in, the timing belt and a bunch of gaskets were being...

Well, I think I have made my decision. I am all about going the most cost effective and efficient way, so I am leaning toward the rebuild. I can get the parts for the rebuild for just a little over $300. That plus whatever the machine shop will charge, and what my cousin will charge to do the work w...

My cousin used to work at a Subaru Dealership, but they still give him his discount. He priced the parts for the rebuild at $500 US. He said the gasket set was the most expensive thing, over $200. Anyone know of a comprable set that is cheaper?

EJ20TT, EJ20T, or EJ22T? Help Please!

I have had some bad luck recently. I bought an EJ22T about 8 months ago with the intentions of putting it into a FWD Legacy L. Then, I found a Sport Sedan with the 5MT, so I bought it. The only major thing wrong with this car was it had a really bad engine knock. I thought, oh well, I'll just put th...

TD05 from Early WRX to Legacy Turbo

I have a 93 us spec legacy turbo and I was thinking about upgrading my turbo. I know the td05 creates low end lag, but that doesn't bother me. I just want to know if the early wrx td05 turbo is a direct bolt-on. There's been a lot mentioned about using this turbo, and i just want to have things clea...

The problem isn't that I can't find anything for our cars, it's that they don't make anything for them other than the anti-lift kit.

Whiteline Products

I heard whiteline makes the best suspension parts for Subarus, but I can only find an anti-lift kit for our car from them. I also found a swaybar on ebay, but it's not for the US spec. Are there any parts, for, say an impreza, that I could make work with some modifications.
