i had headers on my 04 STi with a vf39 and it yielded another 30tq.
depends on what your looking for. i wouldnt bother if its a daily driver. the stock headers are sufficient enough and can hold a bit of power. unless your in the 350+ range. i dont see the need for headers.

i would definitly go with a awic kit for the coolness or the 06-07 wrx tmic for the budgetness.

(which id recommend) go to brokenmotorsports in union city NJ. your in PA so its worth the drive. go the junkyard and gather parts that go with the swap. obviously trans with trans xmember, pedals, master and slave cyl... etc. or, id drive to mass and pic...

there is no direct bolt on exhaust unless you have 3k for the CES exhaust.
otherwise, just get ANY wrx/sti exhaust and extend the midpipe 6" or so.

Yes, but mine goes in the #4 hose directly. It doesn't split like u have it.

with my setup
the center goes to the intake.
the right side gets split and goes to both valve covers
the left goes to hose #4 in your diagram.
