Re: 92 Legacy Jerks When AC Is On

Sorry for the delayed response. Any chance you could take a video of the jerking occurring or have someone ride along with you take a video? The diode is wrapped up in the wiring loom so it may be kind of difficult to find. You should be able to use a multi-meter with the function to check a diode t...

I'm not sure what to say. Did you ever use the AC previously and not have this issue? If so when was the last time?

Re: 92 Legacy Jerks When AC Is On

It definitely sounds like you overpressured the system. What was the suction pressure that you saw? The proper way to fix this is to have the system evacuated, recapture the existing R12, and then refill the system with the proper amount of R12 refrigerant. There will be a label on the radiator core...

Re: OEM water to air intercooler on JDM first gen legacy

Welcome to the BBS officially. I'd suggest taking a look at my threads regarding my AWIC setup. The second thread is about the custom radiator I had built. The only thing I would do differently is add a bleed screw/fitting on the top of the radiator to help get the air out of the system during initi...

Re: 92 Legacy Jerks When AC Is On

I still recommend you get a set of gauges and look at the pressures. If the differential pressure across the compressor (due to low refrigerant) is too high the compressor could be drawing excessive power from the engine and causing the "jerking" you're experiencing.

Re: 92 Legacy Jerks When AC Is On

Welcome to the BBS. I moved your post to the engine forum. What AC system do you have, Zexel or Calsonic? Even if your AC is still blowing cold it's possible you could be low on refrigerant and as the compressor rpm's increase the suction pressure lowers quite a bit putting more load on the engine, ...

Welcome to the BBS. This forum isn't too active any more. I'd suggest checking out the first gen Legacy facebook groups as they are more active and you may have a better chance finding an injector. Here are three to check out. https://www.facebook.com/share/6Z1J7Cr8vtnsieLK/ https://www.facebook.com...

Re: rexhuntas BC6 '91 Liberty.

Yeah....and this is where you need a tuner that knows the ECU and the software and the little intricacies of it. Or at least that's what I've discovered after three tuners and four major tuning sessions. The cold start still sucks and the tune could use some refinement, but for that I essentially ne...

Re: rexhuntas BC6 '91 Liberty.

Tach sweep was a must with the outputs I could use on the Haltech... how many else Gen 1s have it  I have it and you have it....not sure who else does  I will say the ECU software looks a lot better than the older Link software and seems to adjust the maps automatically better. However, I...

Re: Dyno on Stroked 2.2T

Very nice numbers and good data point on the various mods! With AWIC setups you shouldn't see that much of a change in air temperatures if your water temperatures aren't increasing because water can absorb more heat. This is one of the benefits of the AWIC setups. However, if you do get some air tem...

Re: Code 45 - Fuel Cut

If you check the code, clear the code, and then check the code again is the code that comes up code 45? If so, I would suggest checking the wiring on the MAP sensor and pressure exchange solenoid from the ECU plug to the sensor plugs and verify everything is ok. If all that checks out ok check the s...

Can you elaborate on the issue some more? Is the issue the gear selector or that the transmission is not engaging those gears unless you put the gear selector in one of the positions 1, 2, or 3?
