Re: Speedo issues

Took your advice and it is definitely that piece that is failing. Does it just screw right out? Should be able to just swap over the working one from my spare 93 legacy auto right?

Speedo issues

Hello all. I finally got my newest legacy running (1990 L awd, automatic). The speedo and odometer do not function. I've read that it's possibly a broken speedo cable or speedo gear. How do I diagnose the problem? Does the black cover on the speedo cable just slide off? If I've got a spare 92 legacy...

Re: 93 L trans slipping in all gears

That's a solid writeup on pulling the engine, but doesn't really tell me anything about pulling the tranny.

Re: 93 L trans slipping in all gears

Thanks for the info and advise. I will probably rig up my electronic engine hoist to make the whole process easier. I just bought a 90 legacy awd with a couple bad cv's, rear strut issue, and in need of a tune up for $325 on craigslist. I am going to swap the driveline from the 90 into the 93 becaus...

Re: 93 L trans slipping in all gears

Any tips for pulling a trans on jack stands in a garage? Easier to drop the engine/subframe/trans together then separate, or just pull the trans independently?

93 L trans slipping in all gears

Hi all, Bought a 93 Legacy L AWD with ~165k Rebuilt the top end and the car was running perfectly, power like it was brand new. Then i started experiencing slipping when shifting between 1st - 2nd and 2nd - 3rd. From there it continued to get worse until it was slipping in all gears. Now the car wil...

ej22 n/a head modification options?

hey all, Ive got a 93 legacy l awd 164k. There was a head gasket issue and the exhaust valves looked toasted so i took the heads to my head guy. Im planning on getting some ej22t pistons and a wrx turbo, so im wondering what i can do to my heads while keeping costs down. Obviously port and polish, b...

Re: Need advise. BC Legacy and ej20tt

As an FYI, there's also a bulletproof rwd option coming soon if that's of interest. I may take on another RWD project at some point, but these pictures from the car's trip home should explain why i want awd for now... https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=b66f817dad&view=att&th=12da0a42...

Re: Need advise. BC Legacy and ej20tt

Also, it's not an EJ20TT. That's not a real engine code. It's EJ20H for the twin turbo. The injectors will need to be upgraded as well as the turbo and you'll need a piggy back or most likely stand alone to reach those HP numbers you're looking for. Plus wiring changes and you'll have to block off ...

Re: Need advise. BC Legacy and ej20tt

Thanks for all the info and the link, bookmarked it. Out of the gates I'm looking for 300awhp ish. I'd like to accomplish it with the single turbo, fuel mods (how are the stock injectors on the ej20tt's?), exhaust, IC, and some form of tuning. I'd also prefer to run e-85. What are my injector/pump o...

Need advise. BC Legacy and ej20tt

Hey all. Financial changes in my life forced me to get rid of my expensive girlfriend (01 Audi S4). Now I'm looking for a more realistic and reliable way to roll around. I previously owned a 92 Legacy L awd 5spd with 230k miles and loved it! Whole family drives subarus. Anyways a good friend of mine...

Yes stock wrx is 230hp... to the crank. Not to the wheels.

Macipusy they may or may not be adjusted. I'd ask the shop that dyno'd you and ask them. If not have them adjust the numbers for sea level because it gives you a better knowledge base to know what you'd compare to.

Where to buy jdm parts?

I'm looking for a few jdm parts and i have no idea where to get them.

First off i want the center pannel on the rear that replaces the center light pannel on the trunk deck lid.

Second off JDM tails.

Third JDM rear bumper (without the indent for the license plate.)

Thanks!
