ah ha! i just had a thought that may just explain my issue. the FCD i'm running is the el cheapo check valve trick. if the map is reading lower boost levels than are actually present then the solenoid would respond with higher boost. i'll check this out and report back.

you would need a coolant expansion tank with a turbo radiator, but unless you plan on running a turbo i think a turbo radiator may be overkill. the extra cooling capacity of a turbo rad. probably just isn't needed. although if you have your heart set i could still sell.

i'm using an autometer boost gauge, which i believe to be fairly accurate...maybe. i've only hit 15/16 once or twice before hearing some butt clenching tinging and letting off. i connected the wastegate directly to the compressor outlet and found that i would only get about 6 psi. with my manual boo...

^ i concur. i've wanted to try the maf and injector conbination for a while now, but haven't had the time. i've read somewhere that if you ground the blue wire on the maf connector it will get rid of the check engine light. don't quote me, but might be worth a try. btw though the maf is pending sale...

High boost on stock controller.

I recently changed over from my manual boost controller back to the stock system and found that I am sometimes spiking upwards of 15-16 lbs. It seems to run a consistent 10-12 lbs. at higher revs. I wanted to change back as I know the stock controller gives more consistent boost up to redline, but 1...
