Re: EJ22T Pistons
Old thread, but I'm still a bit stuck on the compression ratio of these pistons. If the pistons have a dish of -13.3 and sit 3mm below deck, then wouldn't there be a -22.12cc added to that -13.3 dish? I get 7.48:1 with stock heads/gaskets and 7.86:1 with the thinnest Cometic .027" gasket.

Re: N/A frankenmotor question
I've been looking into this for my girlfriends Outback. From the numbers I have the phase II (2000+) pistons have a dish of 14.5cc while the phase I is 14cc. With a phase I head gasket (1.52mm) your compression ratio would be 10.26:1 and with a phase II gasket (.58mm) it would be 11.41:1.

Re: F.S. Random odds and ends...
There's good info in this thread http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45711&hilit=catch+can. Basically what I did was, with multiple t-fittings, tied the four vents on the heads and one vent at the rear crank into one, ran it to the can and ran the output of the can back to the i...

Re: STI fuel pump assembly?
I was thinking that after I put everything back together. The ziptie was nylon though, so I think it should hold up alright. I may get obsessive and dive back in, but we'll see.

Re: STI fuel pump assembly?
Yeah I swaped over the pump and the newer sender. Repinned possitive and negative leads for the old sender plug, left the old temp sensor in place and zip tied the pump. The rubber grommet that holds the 22t pump in place is too big for the tiny STI pump. Thanks for the response.

STI fuel pump assembly?
I recently got a full STI fuel pump assembly and pump for free from a member of a local board. This unit has an in tank fuel filter. I'm wondering if I can just swap the whole thing? It seems that it's all pretty much the same besides the filter and that the fuel temp sensor sits at a different loca...

Re: F.S. wrx 6 disc and under-seat sub
It's not going to blow the doors off by any means, but I will give the thing credit. For as small as it is it made a difference. It adds depth to your music that the stock speakers just can't produce. If you're looking for big bass go aftermarket, but if you're looking for an easy way to improve the...

Re: F.S. wrx 6 disc and under-seat sub
It does have an internal 80watt amp. It's all pretty permanent. I had a spare one of these that I messed with and found that you're better off leaving it be. You could take the amp and buy a six inch sub, make your own box and put it under the seat. I thought about it, but that's alot of trouble for...

F.S. wrx 6 disc and under-seat sub
I recently upgraded my sound system and have some left over's I would like to sell. First is a wrx 6 disc CD changer. Included is the wiring harness to make this plug and play for our cars. It does have a crack on button #6, but works just fine. $40.00 + shipping http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/j...

FS: Patch harness, ej20g ecu
Hey guys. I've got a couple things I wouldn't mind parting with. First is an ecu patch harness: http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj237/mcklingler/Patchharness.jpg I made this out of a spare ecu and j/y connectors. I added wires, so every pin is accounted for. The soldered end is epoxy'd and very s...

Also, from your pictures I see you have an early Liberty EJ20G ECU. Unfortunately these not tunable. You will need another G ECU for chipping. -Rob Could you explain why these are not tunable? I accidentally bought a 20g ecu not realizing it was from a Liberty. It has the chip slot just like the wr...

Agreed. I've made a conversion harness out of a junk connector and ecu. Not bad, just takes time. Oh and be sure to epoxy the soldered end for durability.
