oh yeah the chip is basically a retune, like getting a piggyback and having someone tune it on a dyno ecept cheaper. read up on the revtronix guys on both our and their forums, they're great and very helpful. my first impression was i had noticeably more power on 14 psi than i had before the chip at...

so for the hell of it i'll give my input although not the greatest probably i'm running the revtronix chip and you need to have the 440s to run the td-04 at 17 psi so if you wanted to run the td-05 at 17psi you'd need probably 480s the stock injectors are good till bout 12 psi with the td-04 i belei...

change the fluid and filter and drive it for a while. but dont get a flush just do a simple drain and re fill. when it gets to the point where it wont shift anymore get another one. usually when the fluid is old or mucked up its the opposite the tranny will suck when cold but once warmed up it'll be...

there is a boot like the outter but they dont usually tear since theres less movement in that area but it is possible. to be 100% sure you'd have to pull it out and get a new one and compare how it feels to move around both joints, usually when they are binding it will be obvious you starl twisting ...

the inner cv doesnt get twisted near as much as the outter when turning so if its making noise it wont make a difference whether turning or going straight and the clicking sound is usually the outter cv. inners have more of a tendency to bind which will make a noise similar to what you are describin...

the "professional" way of checking a wheel bearing is to take it up to highway speed and check for noise (humming noise usually) and in the air there should be no play what so ever of the wheel side to side up or down back and forth or any way, if there is then check closely to see where i...

yeah dont use the jecs maf without the chip or some sort of em cuzz for the same amount of air going in it will tell the ecu a lower voltage than the stock maf so you'll go lean without em.
if you use the chip the blue wire doesn't have to be grounded

the blue wire in the harness going to the maf has to be grounded, if you look at the plug in on the mafs you'll notice the stocker has a pin where the blue wire goes in the jecs doesnt.
just ground the blue wire.

when i did my gas tank i had to drop the diff and the crossmember the way i did the diff was i unbolted everything and lowered it about a foot i think so just enough that it was clear of the crossmember completely so that i could remove it and i never touched the cv shafts. as long as you dont lower...

piece of mind is always good but keep in mind the new ones will rust too. if with a very big (12"ish) set of channel lock pliers (i like c-clamps better) you can push the piston in then they're fine and dont NEED to be replaced.
but thats your call

there will always be some drag because of how close the pads are to the rotors. the difference is very noticeable with calipers on vs off. but when you spin the wheels they shouldnt just stop all of a sudden they should probably do about a turn (or more if its not 4wd and is in neutral) as they grad...

muuuuuch better than the stock turbo. i was surprised at how much better it did high rpms. power doesnt just drop off it keeps climbing i'd say til 6000 rpms. i'm constantly getting up to 6000rpm and i never feel like i should be in the next gear. and it'll hold the power modes 17 psi all the way th...

when you floor it all of a sudden does the power light come on in the dash? if not then its possible theres no wires going from the tcu to the power light. buut grounding the power mode pin on the tcu will still put the transmission into power mode. the light actually gets kind of annoying anyways s...

if you've got a 93 4eat and 93 tcu then you can! i didnt know that having a 1990 tcu mattered. all that matters is the tcu. you just have to ground a pin than has nothing in it. put a switch inline and then you have your power mode button. honestly it'll be the best half hour you'll ever spend moddi...

have you done the power mode mod to the transmission? as in you push a button and the trans goes into power mode and stays there until you push the button again? a quarter throttle and it'll downshift when cruising at 50km/h it makes the auto trans almost as fun as a manual i'm constantly over 3000r...

i've got the td-04 in with intercooler and exhaust and 480cc injectors and the revtronix chip (see my signature). in "power" mode i hit slightly above 17psi and lets just say its a hell of alot quicker than when i ran the vf11 at 12 psi. gives a very nice kick in the back. the td-04 has no...
