past problems i've had with 90 legacy, whining, dying
quiet clicking on slow speed coast, and whining only on throttle, higher pitch with tire speed, kinda like revese whine, only happened over 15 mph on up. Tried replacing rear exstention case, gears, clutches, no change, so replaced whole trans, problem fixed. think a gear out of line maybe planatary...

it took some force to get them back on so it is easier to use the drive line to push in back on. i put the shaft with clutches on first then spun them till it seated, then case, make sure you plug connecter and push it in to make sure no pinching occures. i think your ok long as you were just tappin...

cleaned mine in the winter and and had no tick since, mine was pretty loud could hear them driving down the highway.
replaced two and cleaned the rest. i do think cleaning the supply holes on the rocker arms helped. i used my old guitar wires to clean the channels out. knew they would come in handy!

just did mine last night and another today, the connector is wedged in the ex housing, simply pull on the connector and you'll get about 3 inches of slack.
also i put the clutch pack on and spin with hand till seated and there was room for me to slide casing over the shaft .
want any pics let me know
