Sounds to me like a sticking caliper and the pads are burning. I've had this happen on the rear. I replaced the caliper and all was well. I'd take the wheels off and look at the pads and rotor. If it is that bad you should see noticably more pad wear than the other side, and a bunch of distinguishe...

Why is rim/wheel smoking & burning?

I have a 91 legacy, I had front brakes put on it 10 months ago and there are only 900 miles on these brakes, I dont drive much. Well today I did a small trip and when I got home the drivers side wheel/rim was smoking like crazy (coming out of the holes in the rim) and the burning smell was aweful. W...

BINGO!!

It was the fusible link!!

I got a fusible link but couldnt get new ends, so my friend striped the wire ends on both fusible link and my old connectors and connected them with wire nuts. The car is running but can this be a permanent fix with these wire nuts?

Have you checked any fuses under the hood and under the dash? You probably blew a few. As far as your dead battery goes, what kind was it? Maybe it was junk. Other causes could be a bad alternator, or a short in your electrical wiring that causes a constant slow drain on the battery. I havent check...

ok, this is pretty bad I have to say honestly but lets have a go at it. Connecting the battery backwords hopefully did not damage anything. I don't think so at the moment anyway. Jumpstarting it on the correct terminals but with them on the wrong side of the battery is I guess the best option if yo...

ok there is alot of confusion here. 1. The battery you put in the car, where the posts in the same location as the one you took out? The car doesn't give you enough wire to move the posotive and negative terminals around and not all batteries have their posts in the same place or orientation. We ne...

Hey guys... Thanks for your quick replys!

I dont know how to fix cars and I was wondering, will my car last a while with these leaks?

If and when I do ever have the funds to fix it up, is this costly to repair?
