93 legacy tailgate light on when it is closed and off when open
Hello!
This car is a 93 Legacy wagon and it was painted three weeks ago, the guy did had to replace the rear trunk door and probably did a bad electrical job.
what should i look for to fix that?
it looks like it works inverse, it shows a open light when it is close and off when it is open

Re: Started with a delay engaging D, now it doesnt engage
Hi Carlos, That is interesting about the timing around all this. Do you know what year the Impreza transmission came out of? Is it a similar year as your Legacy? As long as it's a similar year/generation it "should" be ok. However, it's possible that something with that transmission is di...

Hi guys! I have a18993 legacy which i adapt a 2006 impreza stereo (in reality the only adaptation was to output the new harness/connector, because everything else did fit perfectly in the dash) the sound quality and loudness was noticeable even with the same speakers, but yesterday i did a “vapor” a...

i understand your point, althought i am not clear with the last part (most due my english limitation :( ) BUT i dont know, to relocate the sensor in order is deeper into the gases cost me about us15. i knowour ECU is not smart enough, but its a simple parameter, maybe the voltage is receiving from t...

Re: Shift lock system not working properly, i need help
There is no relay. There is a "shift lock control unit". I believe it is under the center console. The wiring diagram (links on this board or google) will show what circuits it looks at. just check that all the inputs are working and troubleshooting should be fairly straight forward. Than...

o2 sensor installation, i guess mine is wrong
Hi! i have read that on this model there is not a really an appreciable difference in gas mileage, i know it is for keeping the gases wihtin the manufacturer range... but usually it improves the fuel mileage since without it (the o2 sensor) the system by default would set to a rich mixture... after ...

Noise when starting the engine (just when cranking finish)
Hi! This is a Legacy 93 since a year ago there has been a small noise just after cranking, in the exact time when the starter finish and the engine reach is idle speed when i heard that noise, to my mind came a dry (non lubricated) axe rotating, the similar noise a common desk fan does when is not p...

Thank you again Josh! your help is higtly appreciated!. first, I need to clear something.. you mentioned ECU.... did you mean TCU or ECU? or do I have to test the ECU too? regarding the rest.... Re: Started with a delay engaging D, now it doesnt engage
So, just to confirm what is going on. When you turn the key from the off position to the ON position (but don't start the car) does the power light illuminate? If not, then either the power light bulb is bad or the TCU may be bad or not getting power. I'd recommend verifying that the TCU has good p...

Re: Started with a delay engaging D, now it doesnt engage
I think I followed the procedure wrong, I think I erase the code and now it looks like the pronlem is not happening right now and that's why the transmission shows there is no code. BUT the fact itself of no showing the power light on when startup is a problem itself then, because you say it MUST, t...
