WTB: EJ20G or EJ20K turbo reservior tank
I'll come back and post a photo later but I just wanted to get the word out ASAP. I need a reservoir tank / "header tank" / whatever you wanna call it for an EJ20G intake manifold or even one for an EJ20K should work. The inlet on mine is cracked and QuickSteel will only hold up for so lon...

Re: 8 CELs at one time, FML. Possibly bad MAF?
Well fixed the exposed wire (soldered it) and found that the IACV plug was midway disconnected somehow (on its own). Got a random CEL aboe 60 mph today (reminds me of when I had a bad 02) but it went away when I came to a stop and didn't return. Not sure what that was about. Issue seems to be resolv...

Good to know, very similar setup to me, just I have no solid tune, I hope for similar results with a standalone EMS.

Re: 8 CELs at one time, FML. Possibly bad MAF?
D-check? Diagnostic check? I'll try to clear the codes and see what happens. The issue with the MAF wiring is the stripped wires are right where they go into the plug, no room to scrape off any insulation and either solder or wrap them with tape. I'm afraid I'll pull the wire apart completely.

8 CELs at one time, FML. Possibly bad MAF?
Getting an intermittent CEL, finally got it to stay on long enough to pull codes. Got a ton of them. 15, injector 2 16, injector 3 17, injector 4 23, AF sensor 24, Air Control Valve 32, O2 45, Atmospheric Pressure Sensor 49, AF sensor Just threw a new BOV on the car this weekend, it was running fant...

Have they been converted for water cooling and such that they would be worth that price?

I'm curious to know if people have these as well and how they installed them. When I go FMIC I'll be looking to clear some space, including replacing that little tank.

Re: How to - IAC Delete on stock EM
I just wanted to dig this up and say that the IAC on my car hasn't had coolant lines hooked up to it for several years now which is effectively how the sensor knows what temp the motor is and therefore how to make it idle. It runs great in freezing weather and hot weather, no big deal.

Re: Just bought ej22t swap for my 00 rs. Need opinions on he
I didn't know that the SOHC RS head would have valve overlap, very good information to know. If you are planning on using a standalone EMS anyway, you could probably convert to DOHC with minimal wiring changes.

Re: Feeler FS: VF8, 440cc injectors, WRX TMIC w/ piping
Ended up keeping the setup all together, still driving on it. Will end up getting rid of it all at some point, but for now I'll probably put a standalone EMS on it and see how much power it can make as-is. Thanks for the interest, I'll refer back to this thread when the time comes to move on.

Any way you can post a pic of the factory EJ20G intake setup? Also, did you use the EJ20G BCS in place of the factory EJ22T one to run more boost?

I had a 3" DP with the stock exhaust as well, it required a custom flange. I still have it all laying around somewhere.

Re: Adapting an EJ20G ECU
I thought there was a lot more involved in the ignition side of things in order to run the '20G ECU. The EJ22T and the EJ20G control spark differently from previous writeups I have read.

Very nice, I can finally see the car that my turbo came from. I have a VF8 as well, one of very few in the US. In fact, I've never met anybody who even knows what it is. I looked up the Murch guy you mentioned who did your porting work, I'd be interested in having him work on mine as well. The VF8 i...

Re: Boost questions
8 psi is the factory setting from what my experience leads me to believe. I've been running 11-12 for a long time now, right at the edge of fuel cut. I'm going to get a standalone EMS soon so I don't have to deal with that junk anymore. My tune = my rules.

How did the car drive with the welded diff? Thinking about doing that to my wagon, but people say that it will add stress to my mythical "center diff." I don't think it could be that bad.

There are lots of ways to get cars like that here, especially if they have a similar USDM counterpart. The less questions we ask about its origin the better. Nice car!
