Oh my tempting. I really only need the wiring harness though... any chance you can pull that?

Damn dude, that thing is MINT. Keep it that way, it's a prime example of why we all love these cars.

Re: New 1992 Subaru Legacy SS

Yep, the popular opinion is that turbo timers aren't really necessary in these cars. The owner's manual does mention allowing the car to idle for a bit after hard driving though, so it couldn't hurt.

Re: My 93 SS (ELECTRICAL GREMLINS ARE HARD TO FIX)

Just for fun, here's the installation video for the Intellistick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6Vul7TkRcI&feature=related As for the Legacy itself, I'm looking to get a good ignitor and see if that fixes the issue. Failing that, I need to look into the wiring itself and then maybe the ECU? Co...

Re: FS CA: H&R sport springs for 92-94 Legacy

I never had any issues with them. They ride nicely and stiffen the car up a good deal from the very soft stock springs. I'm highly negotiable on the $200. These are in like-new condition, and I would gladly run them on my car but I'm going a different direction with the vehicle now. Bump it up for s...

Did you check that the fuse is good and the fuel pump wiring under the backseat is connected?

FS CA: H&R sport springs for 92-94 Legacy

These were just pulled off my legacy in great condition. They were on the car for barely a year, and I would say have about 15k miles on them. Looking to get $160 plus shipping for the set. They lower 1.25 in the front and 1 inch in the rear, and you can see how they looked on the car HERE. I'll hav...

Re: My 93 SS (ELECTRICAL GREMLINS ARE HARD TO FIX)

Thanks guys! I'll take a look at things tomorrow, as I've got more free time. Yesterday was the last day of the semester so I've got a whole summer to fix her up.

Re: My 93 SS (WTB KNOWN GOOD COILPACK)

No, I bought the WRX a few months ago. The Legacy was either being given to my younger brother or sold... Then a whole host of things happened... I had to get it smogged being one of them, so I stuck the old exhaust on, went for a drive, and boom. I thought I blew it, now it turns out it's not toast...

Re: My 93 SS (UPDATED, BLEW THE MOTOR)

Well I'm an idiot. Did a compression test today, and came back fine (155 or thereabouts in all the cylinders). So after checking the oil level, reconnecting the O2 sensor (which I had managed to leave off the whole time... explains why I thought I had an exhaust leak at the downpipe lol) and throwin...

Re: My 93 SS (UPDATED, TD04 + TMIC INSTALLED)

That's the plan! Just gotta come up with the funds and the time. Should be a great learning experience.

EDIT: Just for kicks, here's my new daily driver. The Leggy got me hooked on turbo Subies.

Re: My 93 SS (UPDATED, TD04 + TMIC INSTALLED)

Well, looks like the car is no longer for sale. I took it out yesterday after hooking up the stock exhaust to get it smogged... and it blew up. The car had been idling funny for a while, but simple things like filters, plugs, etc weren't causing it. It seemed to run fine off idle, so I left it be fo...

Re: Rise of an Angel.

Great to see this car coming along! When I first looked at the pictures I wondered why you had gotten a new uppipe, since these cars have a catless uppipe. Broken stud explains it though... those studs can be a huge bitch once they're rusty and old!

Pretty. I'd powdercoat those wheels black myself, and maybe get some mudflaps. But that's just my style :]
