Re: Chip for stock ECU!

I'd just like to know if I should continue to wait, or pursue a different Venue. I'd like to go the Revtronix route and will continue to wait, but a little status update would be nice.

Re: WD-40 As Engine Degreaser

WD-40 is a pretty good cleaner, and a good preservitive/water displacer. It does the job it was designed for. If you leave it on, it will help prevent rust/corrosion, and it will keep stuff from sticking to it when you wash. It will also act as an attractant, and collect dust and dirt from everywher...

Re: HELP! Transmission/Clutch Burning Question!! Car is in t

Not that big of a deal, but I think you might have your clutch styles mixed up. The slave on top of the tranny, pushing the fork to disengage the clutch, is a 'Pull" style clutch. It doesn't have to do with the Slave or the fork, it's where the fork engages the T/O bearing/Pressure plate. In th...

.....unless you find a wrx 5mt to go with it. tranny and rear diff ratios have to match. Aside from that you should be good to go.

The 3.9 turbo legacy parts seem to be kinda hard to come by, you could probably sell the 5mt to fund a more common 5mt setup.

If your gonna have it apart for bearing work, I say go ahead and replace the synchros while your in there. @ 126k it can't hurt and sure beats finding out they're needed the hard way.

Yeah, it's probably a pinch in the 12v wire. The light is grounded through the chassis. I think a pinch in the hot lead would result in a blown fuse. The light is grounded through the chassis @ the light housing via the switch when in the 'ON' position. The light is grounded through the cluster and...

heck, you were right! Took the dome light assembly off, everything looked fine. checked some voltages, looked like everything worked, when the dome was seperated from the car (not grounded) it worked off the door switches. I put it back together and it worked!

whiteline is the only thing I could find for the rear.
Factory SS is 19mm front and rear IIRC

Check the suspension sticky, it's got lots of info....
Basically read all of these:

i thought the rears were pretty reasonable for R&R, after I figured out you need to remove the seat. 1/4 ratchet up top and 19mm on the bottom.

since you already have springs I think you'll be pretty happy w/ an upgraded rear swaybar and a performance allignment.

Right now only in the winter, most people are busy with AutoX in the summer. I think this year theres 6 events, about 1 a month from October till April. Theres also Ice racing in the winter, about the same amount of events. The rallyX is SCCA, so it's points but I don't know if anyone cares. Ice rac...

what car do you have? +1 for upping the rear swaybar. I have the whiteline 20mm adjustable and like it. AntiLiftKit also helped. stiffer springs (at least in the back) will help as well. Failing all that, simply unhooking the front swaybar helps as well, but you probably won't like it in high tracti...

I think it's pretty unreasonable to get upset because of a couple week delay, especially from a one man show catering to such a small market. I've gotten run arounds from the biggest aftermarket companies out there, then after waiting months or even a year was told sorry, I (and my customer) are out...

no vacuum assist on the clutch, your left foot does all the work. Clutch and pedal return spring hold the pedal up. I can't believe a shop didn't try to figure that issue out. There was mention of pedal swing assembly bushings stickiing in one of these threads, might check that too. Or, disconect th...
