SOLD.
VLSD and the driveshaft were sold to Redlined this weekend. Dave was great to deal with, prompt response to PMs and prompt payment.
Still have both head unit/CD players. Prefer to sell each head unit with the CD player but will separate the two of them.

Are the radios working?
A forum member, Subaru_styles, sold me these two head units and CD players last year, and I now have no use for them. I was looking for a CD player for my sister 's SS who then promptly sold her SS sedan before we could install either one of these units into her car. Subaru_styles was a straight-up ...

Timing belt
The timing belt is part of the 96,000 km check and it has been done. The car was originally purchased at Specialty Subaru in Vancouver and was shipped to Winnipeg in 2004 so shipping it or driving it back to Vancouver is not an issue.

Reply re price expectations
Matt, given that the car has never been wrecked, is in very good condition, only has 65,000 miles on it and has just had the 60 K inspection I think that a price in the $4 - 5K range is not unreasonable. I haven't seen another SS recently with such low mileage, most of the ones that I have seen for ...

Low mileage 1993 Subaru Turbo Sedan for sale
I was going to purchase my sister's SS to replace my current Auto-X car but the insurance on the car with two teenage drivers in our family is over the top so I am helping her to sell it to someone that can appreciate it. Her 1993 SS Winestone mica 4EAT is a Canadian model with the manual seat belts...

93 Sport Sedan
Matthew, I have been PM'ing with dScooby about importing my sister's car from Canada into the US and he has been very helpful. Her 1993 SS Winestone mica 4EAT is a Canadian model with the manual seatbelts, was originally a Vancouver car for some 11 years and since she has owned it she has had it rus...

Thanks
Surprised that the ET is so high at 56 mm. Thanks for taking the trouble to check for me since I am going to be auto-crossing the car and I don't want to change the offset of the wheels.

SOA update
I received an e-mail from SOA today to advise me that a compliance letter was being mailed to me, and I assume that this will be a positive response, so your advice was correct. Thanks,

Why the correct offset?
Probably because I am a mechanical engineer and prefer to have the correct offset on the rim as it does affect the design bearing loads. A 55 mm ET on a car designed for a 48mm offset (i.e. Forester) even thought it is only 7 mm, changes the ET by 15% from the original design spec. We have two Legac...

Forester SG XT split spoke 16 x 6 alloy wheels on an SS?
Is anyone running the 2004 - 2005 Forester XT split spoke wheels on their SS? I believe these have an ET (offset) of 48 mm. If you do have a set of these on your SS please post a jpeg or a link to a photo of these wheels on your SS. Thanks, Bez

Offest of stock five spoke SS wheels?
Does anyone know what the stock offset (ET) of the Legacy Turbo five spoke alloy wheels is? Is it 53 mm the same as the third-gen snowflake wheels?
Thanks,

Thanks for the input
I have sent an e-mail to John Mergen at SOA along with the VIN number of the vehicle and asked him to verify whether this particular SS met all of the FMVSS requirements on its date of manufacture, which is the letter that one typically gets from the manufacturer. I have imported five vehicles into ...

Importing a Canadian BC SS into the USA

Surely, one of you has upgraded the factory head unit and has a single play OEM (Panasonic) CD player in working condition that they don't need any more? Please PM me, thanks.
