So do you really think it was bad that we tightened them down to 20-30osh lb ft? I guess I could go return the sears Torque wrench which read 10-70 ft-lb for the smaller one that reads in in-lbs. So last question. If I loosen up the bolts, then did I mess up the gaskets and need a nother new gasket ...

Hey ... Making progress on the motor swap, but .... We were putting on a new water pump. The specs call for 7-10 Ft-Lbs. My torqe wrench like most is not goiod at that low of level. I guess we actually got them to closer to 20ft-lbs ish. Is that a problem in your experiances? 10 Ft-lbs seem to small...

Hey Guys,
Do you use RTV cemet or some other adhexive on the waterpump gaskets. Specifically the one between the pump and the engine block? Or just gasket against clean surfaces?

We are not sure .... We were told that it is a 22 Liter dual port head that was suppose to drop in. It looks the same except an extra plug

The light still flashes. I tried to read the codes and all the CEL does is flash. ~1/2 sec on and 1/2 sec off. When I do the processes to clear codes they will stop. Yep both disconnected car runs great and the CEL is blinking rapidly. Also the seat belt light flashes as well. Weird huh. OK Now what check this out
I replaced teh coolant temp sensor and it started. However it was a warm day and in the afternon. This morning it would not start at all. This afetrnoon again warm it did start. Anyway, my son tried to clear the codes by connecting teh wires while running and teh Check Engine light is just flashing....
