My new 95 Legacy Wagon "Anyah"

So long time no post... my apologies :D I've been busy with work and the like, but in the last few months I've come across a steal! A friend of my fathers sold me his 1995 Legacy AWD wagon for $500, with one condition. I have to get it out of his driveway. But at 140K miles, I couldn't say no. The g...

Indeed, I couldn't pull the bugger out... prybars and hammers did nothing. So, I did the next best thing-- Busted the dremel and carbide bits out and removed the rest of the pin in about 6 pieces. How it even mushroomed out in the hole that bad I'll never know... All the axles I've changed and never...

93 BC 5mt Stub Shaft Question a.k.a. I screwed up >.<

So, searches aside, I've got an odd problem. Almost a year ago, I replaced the driver's side front half-shaft on my Legacy sedan [2WD]. It ran great for almost 11 months, then after a trip to VA last weekend, it started thunking and screaming (Thanks, ripped boot...) so I knew it was time for anothe...

Wall 'o text ahead! Wow, vacations sure do make me forget things ^.^;; My deepest apologies for disappearing, it's been along summer. Being that I started this thread, I just thought I'd throw out what I've come up with on adding keyless entry to the first gen leggy's: Going with Vikash's idea of ad...

If the module has only one unlock wire, then like Mike says this is going to be hard to do. Do let us know when you look at the manual. Sorry for the lack of scans, it's late and I'm fried... but FWIW, I know the module I intend to install has the extra wire for the single/ double pulse (drivers/ a...

You're very close on the +12v Vikash, it's actually just the opposite polarity. The system I have is actually ground pulse based, i.e. when it's given a command via remote, it sends a -12v ground pulse via one of two wires (white = unlock signal, white w/ black = lock signal, I believe) Now, i the s...

Out of curiosity, and because I'm one of those people plagued with the 'just because I can' disease, Would it be a worthwhile idea to try and modify the stock setup to allow a one door/ all door unlock setup? To clarify, as in a normal stock setup where one button press is just the drivers door, and...

...Just install an actuator in the driver's door and it will operate the others using the factory "power-assisted" locks... So basically leave the system intact and just let a new single actuator do the work of my hand/key in the drivers door? Damn, and to think I've spent almost three we...

'93 BC Door lock wiring

So I've searched... and searched.... and even Googled around; There is a nonexistent plethora of information regarding our door locks. Until 1995, Subaru tells me there were no models produced with keyless entry. Now whether this is true, I'm not 100%... I've yet to come across one, and my model cer...

I wish I'd known who you were, or if you even frequent this forum. But seeing a bone-stock 1st gen go screaming (literally) past you at ~110 mph is extremely... unexpected. WTB: 90-94 BC/BF hood w/scoop (Turbo?)

So I've searched around, used the site's Google search, but to no avail. I'm interested in finding a hood for our cars with the little scoop, doesn't have to be the child-eating WRX size :-D Just something to give it the overall clean, sporty look. Also, on a related note, anyone with the sedan trun...
