Re: Intake Manifold Removal and Installation
i just had mine off/ it was a pain in the ass, that's for sure. with a turbo there's a couple more things, but still. like 777 said, do that. i actually unplugged all the bits under the manilfold and pulled the harness out through the drivers side between the runners. unplugging from the harness wou...

Re: Possible HG Failure 91 Leagacy SS
nope. got 'em off. pretty easy actually with a breaker bar. they just creaked a lot more than i would have thought. someone over on nasioc told me subie head bolts are usually creaky and twisty, so i just went for it. they came out nice. now i'm trying to find the right headgasket.

Re: My subie's at 300k! Woot
my car just turned 200k. pretty impressed considering it's a turbo. Although from what i gather the ej22t is a frickin horse though....hope to get another 50k at least. love this car. could use a newer center diff though, and a rear LSD while i'm at it though...

Re: awd not kicking in-halp!
update: seems to be better when i use the car more, or really when it's warmed up it kicks in a lot better. almost like normal. is it supposed to work that way? like how it won't go into overdrive 'til it's warmed up enough?

Re: awd not kicking in-halp!
there was one on ebay (used) for 75 shipped. from a 98 legacy. probably would've been from a 2.2 or early 2.5 i guess, but not sure what else is different from one to the next. you know, things like # of splines, etc

Re: awd not kicking in-halp!
So engaging the switch makes the AWD kick in? Try putting the gear selector in the 1 or 2 position and see if that makes any difference. You may have worn clutch packs and under the "normal" operating pressures/conditions in the trans, there's not enough friction material left on the clut...

awd not kicking in-halp!
okay. i have a 94 legacy turbo. 198k. runs great. trans works as usual, etc.... except, awd not kickin on in low speeds. i have the rs25.com torquemada lite mod (awd 50-50 on/off switch) when i switch it, it works fine. back end kicks in, no problems, so i'm not convinced the center diff (mp transfe...

does this sound like too much lag?
hey peeps. well my 94 legacy ss is almost at 186k, so it's no spring chicken, but it still runs well. however, i feel like it has a bit of lag. if i'm going 55 and hit it, it'll get up to almost 5-6K and 10 mph more, then the rpm's stop going up and the speed starts climbing much quicker. what are s...
