One thought on the weight reduction. Get rid of the stock gas tank and just put in a 5 gallon in the truck. Fuel weighs about 8 pounds per gallon so if you have a full tank you are looking at more than 100 pounds. also the weight of the gas tank added. just something to consider. also you would hav...

We did run into a few snags along the way. The throw out bearing was giving us fits and caused us to have the transmission in and out a total of 3 times. After that was all straighted out everything has gone pretty smooth. The motor started right up and sounded great. We ran into a issue when giving...

Here is a little closer look at the intake manifold and what was done to make the turbo inlet fit. There are a few chunks of aluminum that need to be cut off and ground down smooth to make room for the inlet. http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs004.snc1/2795_79134303183_500753183_1679469_...

No exhaust gets annoying! We have been tinkering with ours with just a downpipe and it made it very difficult to hear anything that is going on engine/transmission wise. I finally plumbed a 2.5" exhaust to the axle back so we can hear what the motor is trying to do. The turbo sure does sound sw...

Stock BCS, and MAP routing ??

OK, when we got our car all of these things were disconnected, so I have no idea where everything goes. I can figure out the BCS, and the one line going to the MAP from this ( http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/shik_bypass.htm ), but I can not tell where the one line off of the orangeish br...

Good choice! I would never convert any car to RHD. I would by a RHD car though, just not for a daily driver.

We went with a set of WRX sedan struts and my left over WRX Wagon springs. These with my 205-55-16 rally tires has us sitting at a good 11" of ground clearance at the rocker panels!

I keep forgetting the darn camera at work! Anyway, we got some more stuff done to this turd! -Transmission is IN. -Motor is all back together and back IN the car! -Clutch reservoir has been modified to clear the intercooler -Deleted the clutch dampener -Had to re-fabricate the coolant tank brackets....

The only bad part with the custom stuff is that it takes more time. I just want to drive ours already. I got to drive it for about 10feet and that was it. I have no idea how the car handled or anything before we tore into it because it was so "rough"... The engine freaking purred though! T...

Thought about this. We can not bring our self to spend that much on them at the moment. Maybe after we know the car will run and drive.

Best of luck to ya Ryan in getting it finished & running. Also, good luck in your first race with the car. I'd just take it easy & consider it "working out the bugs". Thanks, I appreciate it! With me behind the wheel at a RallyX event, there is no "take it easy".... I lo...

I do what I can. I liked the simplicity of the 90deg silicone elbow for a inlet, but I just did not like how it looked after I put the 90deg elbow on. I just kept looking at the motor saying "I wish I could just route it under the manifold"... So I finally said screw it, lets do it. We off...

Wait, so that turbo inlet is on a STOCK EJ22T? Like, it fits under the manifold? No clearance issues whatsoever? If so, I applaud you, sir. Very impressive! Stock motor w/ a TDO4, stock intake manifold. I would not say no clearance issues, because there are a LOT of them. You just need to take care...
