these dipsticks must be hot commodities.we've yet to find one in the junkyard intact....on the rare occasion we actually find a legacy in the junkyard.

thats odd.i posted yesterday,and it's not here today.... yes,it's on the passenger side of the car.i have to say i've never heard of a diff dipstick.are subarus the only make to feature such a device? here i thought my saab had some kooky stuff to it. thanks for the info.on a side note.the turbo mod...

maybe it is the fill tube. i dont recall anything being in front of it. the part in question is a tube that protrudes off the side of the transmission about an inch or so. if so,that might explain why every picture i've seen of the car seems to have the trans dipstick on the opposite side of his car...

my friend has a 93 legacy L,which has had less than a pampered life.to make a long story short,there is a hole on the right side of the transmission (auto) which is now belching tranny fluid and smoke.before he was in his recent accident,there was a sensor of some sort taped onto the hole.yes,taped....
