(ON, CA) Subaru Legacy Rear Cross member

Brand new never installed Subaru Legacy/Impreza Rear Cross member/Sub Frame. Bought it years ago to replace my mine but realized after I ordered it that I didn't actually need it. Special order so I could not return it. Part number: 20151AA001 $300 USD Located in Southern Ontario Canada Fits: Subaru...

(ON, CA) 94 Subaru Legacy EJ22 4EAT

I'm not sure what to do with this car. My uncle owned it since new and then gave it to me when it had rusted out and was worth just about nothing. Rebuilt parts of the body, got the mechanical side of things fixed up as well and it served me well for almost a decade. The engine never once gave me an...

Re: Cheaper Crank Angle, Crank Position Sensor

Just a long term follow up. I never had any problems with this sensor or the engine in general since I posted this. I can confidently say this works great.

Re: Car Won't Start with Key

From the dead. I determined over the years that both Alphius and Legacy777 were right. Definitely a finicky inhibitor switch. Moving the gear selector around seemed to get rid of the problem when it arose. Which oddly seemed to have actually got better over time. Retiring this legacy now but wanted ...

Re: Cheaper Crank Angle, Crank Position Sensor

Thanks for the write-up. I've got a couple comments. Regarding the wiring colors in the FSM, they should match the chassis harness wiring, but will not match the wiring of the actual sensor (between the sensor and plug). Did the chassis wiring in your 94 still not match the wiring colors in the 92 ...

Cheaper Crank Angle, Crank Position Sensor

Just wanted to post an FYI in the hopes of saving others from paying the insane price of the crank position senor. I had a 2 pin version with the connector on the sensor itself. Looked like the cheaper ~ $30 option on rockautp. Now I did not purchase it from rockauto, it was a new spare part I had l...

lol, Yup that's exactly what I have been doing for far too long. I feel a bit better that I'm not the only one. :-)

Re: Car Won't Start with Key

94 legacy sedan, N/A, automatic.

Of course the next day after making this post it has been running fine so far. But I have no doubt it will return. I feel I may have checked the starter relay but I can't remember so I'll check again or swap it out. I never thought to check the neutral switch though.

Car Won't Start with Key

I've been battling this problem for years now. It's intermittent so that's partially to blame. The problem is, the car won't try to start when turning the key to the start position. If I leave the key in the run position, open the hood and put a wire between the small wire (red I think)/push-on/blad...
