Re: N/A Motor Swap Questions
Colder engine requires more fuel to start and run, therefore if the coolant temp sensor is bad and reading very cold, the car will run pig rich. It also can keep it in open loop, you are correct. What mileage issue? :-D My Turbo Sedan gets 20-21 in town if I beat on it, 25 in town if I drive nice, a...

Re: Do 14" Wheels Clear Turbo Brakes?
I drove through some crazy stuff, pushing snow with my front bumper on my slammed (3" clearance) '96 Legacy on all-seasons, so I see no reason that your t-leg with snows shouldn't be able to push through 6+ inches of snow no problem. Any more than that, and you might have issues though.

Re: Do 14" Wheels Clear Turbo Brakes?
14" steelies as found on second-gen Legacy will not fit over Turbo brakes. That combo I have personally tried. Something with a different offset might work in 14" however.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Subaru definitely keeps Hella's horn business profitable. :P There's just something about it, I have absolutely zero desire to put Hella's in any of my other cars, but for some reason as soon as I get a Subaru I'm like "Hmm, you know what would be nice? Some sweet red horns behind that grill. :...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Did those Hellas fit behind the grill with a functioning AC condenser? I want to do Hellas eventually but have heard that they do not fit with AC, and I like me some cold air on a hot day.

A bit of oil in the intercooler is totally normal as a result of the PCV system doing it's job.

Re: Stephan's epic part-out (of my garage) thread
I know there's a couple people in front of me, but I am interested and can pick up the following parts: Post-facelift center garnish Turbo Throttlebody with TPS (or an entire intake manifold if you don't want to seperate the TB) Maybe that 45 degree shiny intake piece too? I can stop by on my way so...
Re: 16g mods
Another note:
Full spool comes early with a TD05-16g and pulls hard to redline. I see 18psi by 2800-2900 on mine. Not as good as the VF11, but not as bad as a lot of other bigger turbos.

Re: 16g mods
BSOD2600 did some ECU logging with that exact setup in this thread: http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=39701 His conclusions basically were: with stock injectors/ECU tune, the TD05+TMIC was completely maxing out the stock setup at around 11 psi. So, I'd say 9-10 would be safe enou...

Re: robs tune ?'s
1. I'm selling an ECU for $100 in the parts shed, then around $300 for Rob to tune it I think. 2. It's mostly plug and play, especially if you get Rob's Ignition Converter too. If not, then you have to either convert to COP or run dual ignitors with a little rewiring. 3. I've heard it is, I'm not ru...

Re: Help: New Clutch...Still Slippen..
Tip: Avoid full boost until you have at least 500 miles on the clutch. It might work better then. I ran the first 500 at 13psi before I cranked it up, and I avoided full boost or launches/shifts with boost. I only used the 13 to pass on the highway in one gear. Now the clutch holds 18psi and can spi...

Re: FS-EJ22T part out
Darn, oh well. I was hoping to avoid shipping an entire intake when the TB fits just fine in a flat rate box with USPS.
Good luck on sale, keep me in mind if you decide to part it. I would buy harness and TB/TPS/IAC if you wanted to part it at some point.

Re: Help: New Clutch...Still Slippen..
A poorly bled clutch will not cause a partial engagement problem. Period. All it could possibly do is prevent full clutch disengagement. Yes, too tight on the adjustment rod will cause a continuous "ride" of the clutch, which is why you need to leave 1-2" of pedal free play on the MC ...

Re: Help: New Clutch...Still Slippen..
I have OEM Legacy master and slave I believe. The Turbo Legacy clutch disc is 2-3mm smaller in diameter than the WRX disk. The WRX disk will work on a T-Leg flywheel, that's what I'm running right now. One thing I am noticing you are saying is that you "set up the pedal so the master cylinder w...

Re: Help: New Clutch...Still Slippen..
If it doesn't slip under full boost, go with it.
I have a brand new Exedy WRX clutch and a brand new flywheel in mine (plus a new master and slave cylinder) and the engagement point is way up near the top as well. No slip at 18psi, so it's good by me.

Re: 91 SS AWD troubleshooting
The multiplate transfer clutch in the 4EAT dynamically alters the front/rear bias based on throttle position, gear selected and wheel slip feedback. The normal, shifter in D, driving around torque split is 90f/10r. Based on front wheel slippage and throttle position, this is dynamically altered up t...

Bump:
Both 1.5DIN pockets tentatively sold.
EJ20G ECU is still here! Price dropped to a flat $100 shipped. If it doesn't sell, I will just keep it for the future!
