Sam you totally missed the analogy. Reread it again, and btw Cd, Fa, Cl, all that stuff matters at ALL speeds. Why would they bother with the car? Money, it makes the world go around. FHI isn't going to spend an ass load of money making a compact car glide through the wind Aspect, wether you believe...

so it's been like two years since i even thought of that GC stuff. And Cd is only half the story. It's like saying an engine is great if it makes 200 hp. That's a worthless comment if it only makes 200 hp for 100 rpms at 8000rpms, or if it only has 100 lb/ft tw max. track, rally, everyday use. It do...

Imprezas are such shit

Look at these numbers: http://www.mayfco.com/subaru.htm

Least aerodynamic subaru ever. Just more reason to not own one.

What is impressive though is the 1G DSM:

I doubt that. Spring rates themselves don't tell the whole story. There's no info about preload on any springs. And probably the most important thing, springs must be properly matched to the damper, or it will feel less than optimum. Another thing to think about is that most of those spring rates ar...

Why not just put the na tranny in the car with the broken tranny instead of having two cars down?

It is an NA pump, but there's no oil cooler plumbing, or even an oil cooler nipple on the pump.

It looks like an EJ20D setup, but no way to completely tell without the engine.

His base car is a 90 NA though. My setup with pinks was a 50/53mm drop. If he uses the eibachs on a gd strut it will be a 58/48mm drop. Which is first really uneven, and second puts the front suspension so incredibly low that it'll suck balls when trying to handle.

If the Eibachs were made for an STi, then AGX's wouldn't be damped properly for the springs at any setting, GR2's would be way out of the question.

Also, if you're using those on any GD strut, your car will be so low it will handle like shit.

Pretty much those weren't a good spring to buy

Eh, If the weight concerns you, yo ushould just go with brembos, lighter calipers and two-piece rotors a plenty.

I'm not sure if anyone even makes two-piece LGT rotors.

The calipers will be about the same weight, but the rotors are much heavier.

It's not overexagerated, it just depends on where the bushing is used, and how forces are being applied to it.

The VW thing isn't uncommon because of the placement of the bushing and where the forces are being applied.

Those brakes are pretty much unfadable until you REALLY push it. Assuming you have half way decent pads. They're also heavy as all hell!

Only the 05+ need a new crossmember. But all the GD/GG require a GD/GG column, or adaptation of the steering coupler.

Poly is much less durable than rubber. Depending on the place of the bushing and how it moves, a poly one will destroy itself on the inner race with normal use. Radial movement is horrible for poly bushings. Also, you can definately make a rubber bushing that has a higher durometer than most poly. S...
