Re: TD04 clocking questions/help

I don't recall the TD04 being able to be clocked like that but if it is the case, you'll definitely need to take it out. The TD04 install threads show you how to remove it. Would you mind posting a pic of what your intake/turbo looks like? Hey here are some photos of how it is right now. I tried to...

TD04 clocking questions/help

Hi guys, just looking for some tips here. I bought my legacy sport in 2009 and the previous owner installed a td04. He did not install an intercooler, so I am assuming that he had to clock the compressor side to get it tilted up the way it is. I want to install my slanty intercooler, and believe it s...

Finally decided to cut down the clutch master cylinder resevoir to make room for my ARC slanty intercooler. Hope it's not too short! :o Photo of my tools and final product minus the hack saw.

I'm also getting a big oil puddle on the top passenger side of the block, but I haven't torn that apart yet. Probably for another post. Thanks, Trevor Hey I have seen this happen a bunch on my older subarus. It's been the oil pressure switch every time, seeping oil at the top of the switch where th...

Re: EJ22T possible intake manifold rotation.

Yes I was looking on ebay UK for a v1-2 sti slanty because of what I've read on this forum for ease of fitment, and the ARC popped up on the list, so I did some reading and found that they sold for $1500 usd new. The guy didn't have it set for international shipping so I pleaded with him lol and he ...

Re: Exterior Trim

Does anyone know of a good write up, or any tricks with removing all the trim from our BC's? I am going to paint the car, and I would like to repaint the trim as well, but seperately. I don't want to be snapping clips or bending things etc.!

Re: EJ22T possible intake manifold rotation.

I didn't see that you were deleting the ps pump the first time I read, if you put the alternator where the ps pump goes, you shouldn't have the clearence issues I experienced. I had though about swapping the ps pump to the ac location and the alternator to the ps pump location but decided not to as...

EJ22T possible intake manifold rotation.

Hey guys, lately I have been thinking of doing a front mount intercooler with rotated intake manifold for my 92 Legacy SS. I have seen a few Subies with some nicely done intake manifold rotations but all dohc. I can't seem to find any resources on sohc Subies doing this, so I'm asking for help/point...

Re: EJ22T warm engine starting problems

K thanks guys, I'm pretty sure you are right with the sensor. I find that the odd time I go to start my engine warm, the fans come on if I wait a second (usually the time it takes for fuel pump to turn on and off). If I try to start it during that time it will will just crank. If I wait for the fans...

Re: EJ22T warm engine starting problems

Interesting. I'll look into doing that. Is there a way to test the sensor?

You would think that it wouldn't even let the starter crank if a sensor is telling the engine not to start? Or would that make too much sense?

EJ22T warm engine starting problems

Hey guys, a few months ago I started to experience random starting issues. It was only when the engine was warmed up, and I would try to start the engine. It was probably every 1 in 20 warm starts that it did this. It just cranked and cranked with no sound of fuel ignition. I would let it sit for a ...

Ya it's true. It's more a temporary setup so I can make use of my seat until the intended car is ready for it. It sits too high for my liking anyways but it's short term.

Home made aluminum seat bracket for my Sparco

Hey guys, just finished this a couple days ago and installed it. I'm sitting a bit too high because of some adapter brackets I made so this seat would fit in both my legacy and my project car, just by removing the legacy bracket. Only problem is that it doesn't slide back enough. Amazing how differe...
