Re: Dynolicious iPhone/iPod App
A few tips from my experience that make it work better. Mount the phone securely in an upright position. Find the flattest area you can to test on. If you want a more accurate hp reading, don't go for a super 0-60 time. Perform a more gradual launch and roll into the throttle, the initial jerk can a...

Re: The Fender Rolling Thread
Honestly, that seems like a better idea. The paint WILL crack when using a bat (or a jack handle, did that once in a pinch), without a heat gun or hair dryer.

Re: Best place to buy 91 rear strut mounts?
Part numbers helped out a lot. For future reference, subarugeniuneparts.com has them for $62.50. You have to hunt around a little bit to find where to enter the part numbers (I clicked on "collision repair parts" or something). I ended up ordering them from subaruwrxparts.com (also known a...

Re: The Fender Rolling Thread
I just rolled my rear fenders with an aluminum bat and a travel hair dryer. It is not the easiest thing to do, but it works. You have to use your tire for leverage. I just bent the lip as close to flat as possible. You have to keep the paint heated if you don't want it crack. If you can rent a fende...

Re: rs front clip on leggy
What about just the front bumber skin? I have seen this done on a later 95-00 legacy (still not great with legacy model designations, bc?). Not sure how that was done, or how much fabrication it took.

Re: A serious discussion on cup holders.
I completely agree. The cupholders are intolerable. When I replace the factory stereo, I am going to try to move it as low as possible. I was also thinking of trying to adapt the cupholders from a 98-01 Impreza. They are of a similar design, but are larger and somewhat adjustable. My experience with...

Best place to buy 91 rear strut mounts?
Can someone tell me a good place to buy 91 rear strut mounts? I am having trouble finding these on the internets. I emailed subaruwrxparts.com, which is also a dealer, but they just sent me back a canned response asking for a VIN number, which I of course don't have, my car being a 92. Before I go t...

Re: Devan's 91 SS Updated Last Page
This is great! I used to be a photographer for the Idaho Press-Tribune. I ran all over Canyon and Ada County in my 2000 2.5RS. Looking at all your photos, I'm like "I know all those places!" Amazing car, wish I was still in the area to check it out in person.

Re: Question regarding ride height of STI springs
Awesome! That is exactly what I wanted to hear. Is height level front to rear? What struts are you using?

Question regarding ride height of STI springs
Hey all, I am about to acquire a set pf 07 STI springs, and I was curious what the final ride height will be. I am hoping it is pretty close to stock. I am a little confused about the ride height these springs will give me on my 92 SS. I read in the stickied fitment thread that it was inferred that ...

Re: WOT problems
I forgot to mention that I have gutted the mid-pipe cat. It didn't show any sign of a deteriorating downpipe cat, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening I suppose.

WOT problems
My 92 Legacy SS is having issues at WOT. The motor is stock, and has about 120k on it, and is attached to a 5-spd. At partial throttle, the car feels great, has plenty of power. At WOT, the car falls on its face. It is significantly faster at 50-60% throttle then 100%. If I floor it, then slowly let...

Swapped suspensions on my Subarus yesterday!
Well, I was contemplating it, and with a little prodding from a friend with a garage, went ahead and did it. I swapped the stock springs/struts from my Legacy SS on to my 2.5RS and my V5 STI struts and stock RS springs on to the Legacy. The goal was to have one fun car (the Legacy) and one nice DD. ...

Make me a hero (04 STi Struts/Springs on a GC Impreza?)
I am new here, and just bought a 92 SS. I also have an 2000 RS, and am active on RS25.com also. The SS is going to be my new DD/fun car, and I have been researching cheap upgrades. I believe I want to do 04 STi takeoffs, and the research I have done leads me to believe this is an easy upgrade. On to...

New Guy Here!
Hey everybody. I am the proud new owner of 92 Legacy SS 5-spd. It's white, has only 115k, and is bone stock, and is in pretty decent condition. I am the third owner, and paid only $1300 for it. Even smoked a pesky civic on the 200 mile ride home. It has a small dent in the right front fender, and th...

Hey guys, uh, first post. (Just bought a 92 Sport 5SPD tonight!) I had a set of W300's on my 2.5RS, and I loved them. I worked as a photographer for a newspaper in Boise, ID, and needed to get around no matter what. I found them to be really impressive on every surface I took them on. Icy roads, slu...
