I guess it is just the "short shifter" with the bushings.Mattheww044 wrote:are you looking at getting the WHOLE assembly or just the "short shifter"(AKA "stick")?

I think STI is different and may require some sort of modification. I was talking about all the bushings. If it's newere it may not need them replaced, you'll know when you get it which ones are good and which ones are worn, loose or nonexistent. Also the spring can be replaced and that'll help kee...

Pretty sure it will work. I put a WRX shifter assembly in mine but it was an 03 or something but I think it'll still work. I know someone on here is using an 08 sti shifter or something. But I think he had to do something to it to make it fit and the shifter off a little. Make sure you replace any ...

Need Confirmation Please - 04 WRX Shifter Assembly
Hey guys, I have searched the forum and I think this assembly will work on my car ( 91 Legacy L Wagon 2.2L 5 MT N/A BJ) but I wanted to make sure with you guys before I purchase this stuff. My current shifter is sloppy and I wanted to look into a short shifter and I found this off of an 04 WRX: - Sh...

So, from what i have read, an 04 WRX would fit my BJ, but it isn't recommended because it would be better to just get a lighter flywheel? I'm asking because I found an 04 WRX flywheel and clutch with 51K miles on them for $60 for both. My clutch is bad and I didn't know if this was the way to go for...

ahh yes i completely forgot we are talking about an N/A here... well regardless you should still be able to find something for a fraction of the dealership cost. YOu could probably have a muffler shop custom make your exhaust for a few hundred. yes, I think I am going to just get a resonator and a ...

Good thing you took the time to look at it... Trust, but verify! You probably just need a couple of exhaust joint gaskets, if that's the case, unless you can see or feel a hole in the actual pipe where exhaust gas is escaping... Those an be ordered online cheap, or the muffler shop might have them....

Thanks guys for the help. I really appreciate everyone helping me out. The only thing is I don't need a DP as my car is N/A. I see your point on not going back to stock on the cat and muffler as I will have the aftermarket header. Any kind of high-flow cat I should be looking for? I will plan on get...

04 STi Struts/Springs on my 91 N/A 2.2L Wagon?
From what I have read, this will work on my 91 Legacy L Wagon N/A 2.2L 5MT. Is this correct? Can someone please verify?

I assume you mean an AT, in which case the two are not connected. The front diff takes ~GL-5, while the transmission takes ATF. If it's an MT, the diff and the gearbox share the same fluid and there is only one dipstick. So, if you guys don't mind me also asking... What is the oil capacity then for...

On Turbos they are. ? but yea you can get a complete aftermarket for cheaper than Subaru. i have a Prodrive muffler( not on yet) but it only cost 375 and headers are like 400, so that still leaves 600 according to your quote they gave you and im sure labor shouldnt cost that much. good luck How doe...

If you could find an MRT equal length header setup from an impreza, there are gains that can be had. Otherwise, you may see slight butt dyno improvement, but it's nothing significant. So, go with Aerotech suggested then? I doubt I can find an OEM system in good condition anymore I guess. Get what A...

You can get a decent SS manifold on Ebay, the one for the Impreza 2.5RS will work with your car. Then the rest of it you can get made cheaply at an exhaust shop. Welcome to the BBS Brad. I'd recommend trying to find a decent exhaust from a Legacy in the junkyard. Otherwise, I'd have an exhaust shop fab something up. Thank you Legacy777! I love Subaru's. My brother has an STi and I actually had to just sell my STi. We love the cars. As far as exhaust, is the...

NEW to the Scene - 91 Legacy - Need Help on Exhaust
Hey everyone! I am new to the Legacy scene and I just purchased a 1991 Legacy Wagon (non-turbo) 5MT. It is white and in pretty good condition. I have already replaced the battery, changed the oil, replaced a ball joint and all front brake pads. I had a local garage check out the Subaru and it turns ...
