Re: I have no clue what kind of brakes i need to order ...
To the OP, check this thread: http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=46545 Don't buy front brake parts for a "Touring" model off of websites unless you can verify that they are turbo-specific. Many (most?) of these sites were incorrect when I was shopping for new rotors/pads.

Brake PSA
I replaced the rotors and pads on my Touring Wagon tonight and found something surprising. Ever since I bought the car a year ago it has had vague, wobbly braking with really quick fade. The problem worsened in the last two months so I searched out replacement parts and went to work. Aside from the ...

The last shot was out at the Sun Tunnels, north of Wendover between I80 and SR 30.

Re: Quick trip up the mountain
Hah, yeah. I tend to lurk for the most part. The 17's have snow tires on them, so I only run them November through April-ish. I'm also planning on doing the Outback lift at some point, so wheels/tires could be upsized in the future. As far as photography, I'm shooting on a Canon T2i right now, using...

From the mountains to the desert. Utah is a place of contrasts.

Re: Rotating Pictures - New Style
Hey Josh, just noticed you posted here on my behalf. Thanks for that. Emailing Dave a copy of the photo flipped has been on my to-do list for weeks but I'm just getting to it now. I haven't seen my pic come up in rotation so I assume DLC hasn't had the chance to do my job for me. ;) So... email sent.

Re: How to bend your frame. (large format images)
Did I literally push it? No. But did I push the limits of what I felt it was capable of? Certainly. I was pretty concerned it would high-center on some of the big rocks, but it did great. I put together this little video too:

Re: How to bend your frame. (large format images)
I heard it creaking pretty bad but it's tough to say if it warped. My alignment is off and the front doors were already a bit off.

http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/3119/slickrock.jpg Driving Long Canyon, near Moab, Utah. It's a 4WD road that drops 2,000 feet off a mesa near Dead Horse Point, arriving at Utah S.R. 279 next to the Colorado River. I passed a couple people on motorbikes coming up who seemed fairly impressed at my ...

Re: The crap in my fenders
Good call on the power sprayer, though with how thick/built up this was I think the only way to get it all out was just to scoop it.

The crap in my fenders
I picked up my Touring Wagon in December as a winter driver. The body looked clean when I bought the car but after a few weeks the rust started to show behind the front wheel wells. With the weather warming now I finally took the time pull the wheels off and peel back the fender liner. http://img696...

Quick trip up the mountain
Luckily a parade of guys in jeeps were coming off the mountain when I got stuck and were kind enough to pull me out.
