back out the bolt, check 4 rust and retighten it first , or put in 2 new shiny bolts for a guaranteed ground

yes and I know its supposed to be obdI but its the first yr obdII. Im all 4 swapping the whole EJ22t harness and computer if its a must, but I would like to swap computers if possible.

once that 1 bolt rusts u have no ground....

I have a impreza, I am new to them so Im not sure if its a gc6 or 8 but it is obdII and it has a 2.2 liter naturally aspirated.
My question is...What year ecu for a turbo will swap in? I have an 02' sti computer..is 2002 still obdII?

is the ignitor properly bolted down and grounded?, I bought an ss and thats all that was wrong was it was just hangin there..plugged in but not grounded....everything must be installed as if ur ready to hit the road.

Allright...Now you guys busted me again tying to make lemonade out of lemons. I can afford a 2.5 sti motor. What year STI motor should I search 4? I just love my 2.2 turbos. I got 3 and one with no title.....so I was gonna finally scrap it....

And yes 93Forestpearl, your right. theres always a trade off. I just want to go the best way! thats why I am bauwing down to higher knowledge, that of the BBS....

Maybe the question I should ask is...Am I wasting my time trying to be OBDII? Cuz obviously I can hook up the stock 91 harness and computer easy, I just wanted my check engine light to work on my dash , and the rest of the wiring to be as integral with the stock wiring as possible.

My impreza is rare, first year 2.2 liter, 5 speed, obd2 connector that I have already used with my tester! Production year 94, release date 95. 2 door sport with fin. now I just need to turbo it to make it actually cool....

I understand that. I am trying to only use the 2.2T motor mixed with the newer obd2 and computer. Seeings how the impreza was a 2.2 model, the computer is the same displacement. My buddy just said something about swapping the obd2 cam sensors and pulleys to the turbo motor? anyone heard of this?

I guess I was wanting to keep the obd2 connector to read codes instead of the "flashing lights" codes of the earlier obd1. So whatever I need to do to keep the stock engine harness if possible.

I know that the 95 impreza is obd2, and it is also a 2.2 liter model...so...can I run the stock engine harness? Or should I do a full swap? I have heard with obd2 you can plug into the port and program the ecu for turbo? I have a full 91 Turbo SS that has no title and runs so f'n strong its amazing....

Thanks guyz, I think its a 15-20 degree angle... The reason why its not stock angle is because if u look at the pics I am trying to mount the turbo without replumbing the 02 tmic hosing, or fighting the issue of the 90 dgeree tubing that goes to the air filter, which has to create drag or they would...

I am messing with the idea of leaving the TD04 to TMIC relation the same, and see if I could make a custom up-pipe to fit it. Of course I can fab up the pipe... but the angle of the turbo has to be somewhere around 20-30 degrees, with the compressor side higher....here are the pics http://s848.photo...
