WTB: Metal MAF Sensor

As I understand it, there are two types of MAFS for our cars, the metal kind and the plastic kind. I have the metal kind, and mine is crapping out on me. Anyone have a working one laying around?

Re: WTB: Parts for Auto to Manual Swap

Haha I know, but I would much rather pay one of you for the parts, and personally I think they charge a huge premium for what they sell. Also, I hate paying sales tax on car parts.

Re: Post your FMIC's!

Thanks! My biggest issue was that I didn't want to have to relocate the battery to the trunk, that wire is expensive!! I went through four cutting disks on my angle grinder and 3 sawzall blades for the whole thing haha.

WTB (WA): Phase 1 EJ22

So the engine in my dad's legacy blew up, i'm looking for a n/a ej22 longblock that I can give a quick reseal and swap in. Needs to have been decently running when it was pulled - mileage a plus. It's a POS car and doesn't deserve a motor rebuild, not worth the time.

FS (WA): OEM EDM Fog Lights

I ordered up a set of these for my 92ss and I don't think I can get these to fit with the FMIC setup I'm using. There in decent shape, I got them from a wrecking yard in northern England. Looking to get $130 for them, i'd like to have some money for a few other misc. projects on my car. Here is a li...

Re: Crankshaft Pulley Wobble

It may be too that the pulley wasn't put on straight (I did this once on accident, i know there is a notch don't ask me how haha). You may need to pull the radiator out to have room, but thats really simple. Get yourself a 22mm socket, a half inch breaker bar, and a long piece of pipe. Attach everyt...

Re: P0100, P0101 - Replaced MAF, Still Won't Start

So the car apparently had a blown head gasket and that head gasket caused one of the cylinders to lose compression totally. I don't know the specifics because I wasn't able to talk to the mechanic personally. But in any case, it looks like I'm going to have to haul all my tools and my hoist to Seatt...

Re: P0100, P0101 - Replaced MAF, Still Won't Start

The ECU has been fully reset several times, no luck. I pulled the timing cover off and the belt is where it all should be. It's getting towed to the damn shop so they can figure it out. I tried all that I knew how to try, but I want my impreza back and my dad wants his wagon. Thanks for all the inpu...

Re: P0100, P0101 - Replaced MAF, Still Won't Start

Back again with no luck. -We believe that its computer related, it isnt getting spark. Plugs are new, wires are good, coil is good. -Its doing the exact same thing that my 92 ss did when I had sensor issues, crank but not start. -Tried spraying starter fluid down the throttle, no luck. -Spark plugs ...

Re: P0100, P0101 - Replaced MAF, Still Won't Start

Okay, i'll be heading back down to town tomorrow and i'll check a few things:

1. Try to induce a start by spraying cleaner down the throttle
2. Swap the CTS
3. Swap the MAF
4. Swap the TPS and IACV

and...hopefully something fixes it.
