I'm trying to decide whether to hunt for a broken wire or blown fuse etc, or to just move the slider to a permanent place and attach the belt by hand every t...

I think the mechanic moved my driver seat belt slider up the track by hand, now it won't go in either direction. Doesn't feel jammed, just kinda loose in the track, but won't slide. Chime doesn't work, belt motor doesn't hum. The seat belt indicator flashes quickly, there doesn't seem to be a patter...
