95 WRX transmission noise

Hello there, Looking to see what this problem could be. Not sure if it is the center diff or I stretched first gear. The car is a 95 Impreza L with an EJ205 swap and a 95 JDM WRX transmission. Took the car to the drags on Friday night. 2nd run I broke a few teeth off the spider gear in the rear diff...

Re: EJ22T w/ 02-03 2.0 WRX Heads

Revisiting this because I am trying to wrap my head around some things. First off it would be runnin' a 2.0 WRX ECU with a harness merge. So I was thinking. Stock Ej22T crank, STI rods (+2 or +4mm length to make up for the stroke difference) or maybe stock length, and the Weisco OTS 0.20 stroker pis...

Re: Td05 16G Oil feed lines

I would like to find ones that fit. Anyone have any suggestions? Or at least know the bolt size? I would be worth buying one of those kits for just the coolant lines. I have used the Kinugawa kits on td04's with no issues. But that guy in the link you sent me Legacy777 did have issues.

Td05 16G Oil feed lines

I am looking at doing the robtune with the 16g and 550cc injectors. I am curious as to what turbo lines you guys used. I would like to replace them. I found these but they have different fitting sizes and the T fitting in there doesn't make much sense. http://shopping.kinugawaturbo.com/turbooilandwa...

Universal Fan wiring

Running a dual core WRX radiator for my turbo swap in a 95 Legacy. Fans don't match up and would stick out too far. I have figured out how to mount to slim fans, however I am curious on the best way to wire them up. They don't come with a thermoprobe. Is there a way to wire them up like the factory ...

EJ22T w/ 02-03 2.0 WRX Heads

I am tossing around some motor build ideas. I am looking at doing a full 2.0 WRX (USDM) swap with Weisco Pistons and Manley rods. OR I have been tossing around the idea of the EJ22T w/ 2.0 WRX heads. If I went this route I would want to build the internals. However I cannot find any standard size fo...

TD04 Oil and Coolant Lines

I am doing a hybrid build Ej22t (bored to 2.35 stroker w/ #5 Thrust) with 2.0 WRX heads. I bought the TD04 (I know small turbo, will upgrade later) without any of the oil and coolant feed lines. I was trying to find some braided kits off Ebay but none of them seem to be made for a WRX. Trying to avo...

Re: WRX Whiteline rear sway bar

I didn't get pictures. It does work. However it's a serious PITA in my opinion. The bushings that come with the bar have to have the lip trimmed off of them to fit the older sway bar bracket mounts. If I ever had to do this again I would just buy a bar made for the Legacy. Even though Whiteline only...

WRX Whiteline rear sway bar

Is anyone running a WRX rear sway bar on the stock rear suspension (trailing arm, lateral links). My understanding is that you need to notch the spare tire "bump". I am just looking for conformation before I order a whiteline rear sway.

Going to just get the engine back and put it together and see how much the piston comes past the deck and see if I can't just make up the difference with a thicker HG

Re: Ej22T stroker questions.

Good information. So currently this is what is happening. The machine shop guy is trying to convince me to deck the block and now shave down the pistons from 26cc to 24cc. This build is with 02 2.0 WRX heads. Running an Ej251 crank, Ej22t block halves converted to #5 thrust, Wiesco pistons, and the ...

Ej22T stroker questions.

So the machine shop called today. Said I needed different rods. I am here to ask you guys your opinion. Since I am finding mixed info all over. Bought the Wiseco K602M975 stroker pistons Scat 5.180" rods Ej251 crank This is going into the EJ22t block and having the #3 converted to #5. He says t...

95 M/T identifier pin

So from all the information I have gathered the 95 ECU on both the Impreza and Legacy (OBDII) are completely different than the 96-99 ECU's and the 90-94 (I figured on the OBD1 ECU's they would be). I have done a 5 speed swap on my 96 Legacy with no wiring issues. Reverse, Neutral and M/T pin out (p...

EJ22T stroker w/ EJ20 WRX heads Comression?

I am going to be building an Ej22T with 5.18" Phase 1 rods w/ 52mm journals, Ej251 crank, have the block machined for the #5 thrust, and the weisco pistons for the 2.35 stroker. Will be running the WRX ECU/Harness/IM/Heads.

Curious on the compression ratio of this engine.

Re: ej22t w/ ej25 phase 1 heads in a 98 Legacy. I have quest

Bringing this thread back up. Building a 22T stroker with Phase 1 Ej25 DOHC heads and Intake manifold. I was reading that there are clearance issues with the 25 manifold? The plan is to get a WRX ECU and Harness and send it to Iwire to have it merged. What all is needed. Putting the motor together i...
