How do we test for Hydrocarbons, is this something that can be done home or must go to a chemical analyst? Ya Derek's car didn't have oil in the coolant either. He would have temps come up under load, and then blow out the overflow. He got his coolant tested for hydrocarbons which confirmed the leaking headgask et. How do we test for Hydrocarbons, is this something that can be done home or must go to a ...

Had similar situation on a different subaru (GLF) not legacy after a lot of suffering, found the inlet pipe to fuel filter had a crack and would not let enuf in but return to the tank anytime the pump rested (engine off). Thanks for all the posts, I could not identify the particular fusing for the AC control, and the drive was getting too hot to carry on. Checked your user manual posts, I didnt have any, and the fuse cover under the panel is written in Japanese. I did locate on the manual and my fan and AC works agai...
