Re: Body swap?
One of my 93's has the plug there but my 93 wagon does not and I've seen more in our parts yard. I don't know if it depends on whether its a LS or LSi model or what. I just dismantled a 93 LS a week ago that had air suspension and was an auto but had the hole in the firewall too.

Re: WRX Momo wheel
I have the wrx momo wheel in 3 of my cars and in one of them, the airbag is hooked up. I work at a salvage yard and blow airbags everyday, crazy how violent they explode. I just changed over the connectors on the airbag, although I'm not sure if it would actually work in a wreck. I used a gen 2 Lega...

Re: Body swap?
I have seen 92-94 non turbo Legacys with the hole in the firewall for a hydro clutch, it just has a rubber grommet plugging the hole. Also, the core support is slightly different on the turbo Legacys, the lower radiator support sits lower to accommodate the taller Radiator the turbo Legacy uses.

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX
I didn't like the mess of the jumper harness, so I ended up labeling all the harness wires at the ecu plug then cut the plug off. Then I soldered the Legacy ecu plugs to each corresponding wire. I'm pretty much done with it except a couple wires that I have questions about. For one, on the Impreza h...

Re: 06/07 WRX Intercooler Install Questions
I ended up buying a nice silicone y pipe off ebay for the 02-05 wrx. Its made by a company called Upgr8, I inspected it when I received it and it is really good quality. It is 4 ply and red in color. It was around 90 bucks shipped, they advertised it as 01-05 wrx. When I went to mate it up to my 06 ...

Re: 06/07 WRX Intercooler Install Questions
So a buddy of mine came over last night with a JDM ver 3 STI intercooler so I could compare an 06-07 factory y pipe to the STI. The 06-07 has a wider distance from opening to opening so it wouldn't match up to the STI one. So, trying to use a silicone y pipe meant for the STI intercooler will not wo...

Re: 06/07 WRX Intercooler Install Questions
I have the same kit for the 02 TMIC and it works alright. I had to extend it a couple inches to reach the turbo and trim down the 90* bend a little. Its a pain to get it on though. It won't fit on the 06 TMIC also, one of the legs doesn't line up right. I was hoping to hear from someone today about ...

06/07 WRX Intercooler Install Questions
I've been finishing up my EJ22t swapped Impreza and decided to use one of the WRX TMICs I had lying around to get it up and running faster while I save up for a quality FMIC as my current one leaks. I've read a lot of the TMIC install threads but haven't seen anyone try a silicone y pipe meant for a...

Re: 07 WRX TMIC & TD05H-16G installation guide
I see someone asked before but have not found any info on anyone trying the silicone y pipe for a GC8 wrx. Whether it would be 93-95 or 96-00? I looked up pictures of a 95-96 jdm wrx and it had the slanty intercooler and uses a similar manifold to the EJ22t so the distance of the throttle body and f...

Great, that's how I have mine setup on the harness. Just wanted to make sure since you had said the Haynes manual was wrong. I have mine in but still need to do some stuff in the engine bay to finish up before I can even try to start it.

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
Yeah I was looking into this on my thread as well. How did you end up wiring yours up? The diagram I have which I'm not sure if its from the FSM or not as it was downloaded awhile back and there is no label on it, shows the yellow wire of the diode going to the starting/charging system and the coil,...

What do you mean there was only one engine size on the 3rd gens? There was the EJ25 or the EZ30mike-tracy wrote:

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
I work at one of the bigger salvage yards in the US, so I have access to lots of good parts. You can use any 90-94 Legacy ecu plugs as they are the same, the EJ22t just has 5 more wires than the non turbo and the pins for the Cam/Crank angle sensors are swapped. I'm sure you can find a lot of the pa...

Re: WRX fronts H6 Legacy rears on 1st Gen Legacy Wagon??
It definitely improved but the pedal feels a little mushy due to the bigger calipers, but that is because my car is non abs so the master cylinder is smaller than an abs unit. If you have abs, it will be better. If you don't, you can use a fwd non abs SVX master cylinder. They are the same size as t...

Re: WRX fronts H6 Legacy rears on 1st Gen Legacy Wagon??
I have this exact setup on my Legacy. You just need the brackets that go with the wrx and h6 calipers. They bolt right up. You will need the rotors and pads as well.

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
Another thing to add if you consider using EJ251 heads on your block. I'm pretty sure the phase 2 EJ22 intake manifold will bolt up to the EJ251 heads. Using the phase 2 EJ22 intake manifold would allow you to run a Legacy IAC vavle with side feed injectors so you could run the EJ22t pink injectors....

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
Also, another idea for you motor build would be to use a set of EJ251 heads on your EJ22 block. Lowers the compression to be more boost friendly. MikeyMeyagi has done it with success. Check out his build thread http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=48934

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
Once i'm done with my Impreza, I plan to do a thorough write up. When I started this project, in doing all my research, I didn't come across any good write ups on the wiring. There were a couple on people doing the swap into the OBD 1 EJ18 Impreza but nothing on the OBD 2 stuff really. I wanted my s...

Re: Common 5V buss on T-leg ecu?
Are you sure the Coolant Temp Sensor is tied in with the MAF and TPS? That doesn't make any sense. The Coolant temp only has 2 wires, one to the ecu, the other is grounded. I'm doing a similar swap right now. EJ22t swap into a 95 Impreza LX (OBD 2). On the Impreza, the MAF, MAP, and TPS share a comm...

Yep, now hopefully I can get the rest of the wiring done this weekend and get it started. I still have plenty left to do. Interior, FMIC piping, body work and paint. I'm going to take some more pics this weekend and want to start a build journal.

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX
The green wire should be for the cathode and the yellow is the anode. I also found in n2x4s thread that the yellow (anode) should be hooked up to a switched 12v source courtesy of Vikash.
