Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX

I figured it was two different diodes, I just wondered since I saw a thread on here where n2x4 did a similar swap and used a diode from radio shack and he used a 3a, the factory one I found is 1.5a. It should be the right diode, I had the harness stripped down bare and traced the light green wire to...

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX

So, Its been a bit since I've been able to work on my car due to lots of overtime at work. I'm done with all the wiring for the most part besides the self shutoff control. I had an old Legacy harness lying around so I stripped it and found the MPFI diode for the self shutoff control, now I understan...

Re: Dankberries 1993 Impreza ej23t/25d build

Very nice, my buddy has an 89 240 that is extremely built and stupid fast. Probably the fastest car I've ever riden in and also the scariest as it is stripped of all interior so you can hear every little pebble hitting the floor pan, and the thing is rarely going straight. His turbo and manifold alo...

Re: Dankberries 1993 Impreza ej23t/25d build

I'm actually done with the wiring besides the self shutoff control fix. I made my own jumper harness that has the obd 2 female 1 plug from an ecu with the obd 1 4 plug Legacy ecu. This way made the most sense to me, use the harness that is already there, just rearrange the pins. I used the obd 2 eng...

Re: Dankberries 1993 Impreza ej23t/25d build

Nice car man, its motivation for me. I'm in the middle of a similar swap. EJ22t into my 95 Impreza. Mine started as OBD 2, EJ22, auto.

Re: EJ22 n/a EJ20 Hybrid talk

I agree with Mike-tracy, I'm building my Impreza up right now and when I started I had a EJ22t and a EJ20g to choose from sitting in the garage ready to be put in. I needed to make a choice on which one I was going to use and I chose the EJ22t. I love the low end torque, although I have never had th...

If I had my 22t swapped 95 Impreza done, I would sell it for this thing, mainly for the engine.

Re: Dip Your Car.com

I have been planning to do my Impreza as soon as it warms up. I have a couple buddies that have used it and I think it looks great. It is pretty durable and if you do get a scratch, you can just fill and blend it back. I have painted cars and I hate it, so much damn prep work. This stuff just goes o...

Re: Huge dilemma need help deciding on motor options!

What is causing the spun bearings, how many miles did you put on it after the first time you rebuilt it? Just curious as I had planned to build one of my 2.2t with the wisecos, rods, and phase 2 2.5 crank in the near future.

Exactly why it will never happen in a car I own, lol. Not to mention the other expensive upgrades to get a car to go that fast.

Re: my first build ej20g

Yeah, that is eventually my goal. Just need the funds. Did you have the crank machined for the #3 thrust position or have the block machined for the #5 thrust position. I've wondered how much the machine work is to have the block machined to accept the #5 thrust for the phase 2 2.5 cranks.

Re: my first build ej20g

Yeah, I am all about torque and acceleration, I don't really care about top speed. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go 200mph before I die but it most likely won't ever be in anything I own, lol. So for now, I just want to get to 100 as quickly as possible.

Re: my first build ej20g

I would but I don't want the low compression, just a personal preference. I will when I have some more money to buy the wiseco pistons to bump the compression back up. Either that or I have an EJ255 that has a bad bearing that I plan on rebuilding this summer.

Re: my first build ej20g

I've had my Legacy with the EJ22t in it but I'm about to swap my Impreza and it has been a hard choice whether to use my EJ22t or my EJ20 with my TD05 and the 550 robtune package. I like the torque of the EJ22t but I have never driven a EJ20 so don't have anything to compare it to. I just want to ma...

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX

Oh Ok, I was under the assumption that there was a map sensor, an atmospheric sensor, and that the pressure exchange solenoid switched between the two. Makes more sense now, thanks.

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX

So, wtdash, I believe you were right as the atmospheric pressure sensor being the map sensor. I've been doing more digging and found more diagrams. I was looking at a wiring schematic that showed the "Boost Sensor" being only on the automatic models and shows the signal wire going to pin 2...

Re: 93 Legacy Wagon with 04 Forester Suspension Issues

I'm about to do the same swap on my wagon and I have all struts/springs, front control arms or you could just do the rear bracket that bolts to the body, front and rear subframe spacer, rear trailing arm bracket that bolts to body, and the bigger outback sway bars. Also you may want to adjust the st...

Yeah i did but they didn't start running returns till Jan 30th and in the past years i've always gotten it 8-15 days from acceptance. Gotta love getting a good tax return, means getting some car goodies (as long as the wife doesn't throw a fit), better than Christmas.

Re: SS swap into 95 Impreza LX

Yes, that is what I was refering to except on the Impreza ecu not the Legacy ecu. The atmospheric pressure sensor is not the Pressure sensor though. Subaru calls their MAP sensors pressure sensor refering to the Manifold pressure. The atmospheric is different and the Pressure sources switching solen...
