Re: Help with 91 Legacy Postal(RHD) wagon heater core
Both coolant temp sensors are new, and I have a new aftermarket gauge monitoring coolant temps. The temp has gotten as high as 210°, with the fans coming on around 200° and continue to run because the temps won't drop back below 200°. I've always done the same procedure for bleeding as you mentioned...

Help with 91 Legacy Postal(RHD) wagon heater core
Hello all, been awhile since I've posted on here. I'm working on a 91 Legacy postal wagon for a customer and have stumbled across something I've never seen on a 1st gen and curious if anyone has more knowledge about it. On the Temp/Heater controls, there is a button that says "On Heating",...

Awesome, I pre-registered, can't wait. We are going to the Oregon coast from the show and staying the following week in a beach house. Been waiting a year for this vacation, stoked only a month away.

Jesus, this thing was running? By the look of the cylinder walls, it looks like it would be seized.

Re: Stuck front axles
Also, what I typically do if the air hammer doesn't work while the knuckle is still bolted to the car, remove the roll pin from the trans side of the axle, remove the knuckle and axle together. Then rest the knuckle on a sturdy vise with the axle facing towards the ground, and use your body weight t...

Re: Stuck front axles
I deal with this all the time at work, usually a quality air hammer does the trick but we have had to use a press before with success.

Re: WCSS15
Lets hope all goes smooth this year, everyone can chill, and have a good time. There is enough drama in day to day life, for me WCSS is really my only vacation each year, and I'm sure it is for others as well. I count the days until the show each year, waiting on this years date so I can request my ...

Re: Ten Years?!
Definitely the best forum on the web, the only one I really ever visit. I also have gained a vast amount of knowledge from here and had a lot of help, especially from Josh. I also wish I had known about the BBS sooner. The gen 1 Legacy's are by far my favorite model of Subaru. In my eyes, they helpe...

Mikey, what did you do with the uppipe, I remember people saying the factory uppipe won't clear the 2.5 SOHC head?

Re: Zach's 95 Impreza EJ22t swap
Some of it would wipe off but i had to take a brass brush to it to get it off. It wasn't thick or anything but in some spots, I ended up taking the paint off the pan. I think I'm gonna take the couple pans I have and have my buddy sand/media blast them, then paint them.

Re: Zach's 95 Impreza EJ22t swap
Oh really? I found the single baffle on a 98 Forester and a late 90s Legacy at work and only found the dual baffle on the older Legacys. I ended up buying a new dual baffle square pan from Summit, when it showed up the return pipe that mates to the block was bent, and didn't match up right. So I end...

Re: Touring Wagon tackles the White Rim
That's a pretty cool trail, looks like a scenic drive. I use to live in UT, in Layton outside of Salt Lake, and I always wanted to go check out the canyons and rock features but never made it.

Re: Zach's 95 Impreza EJ22t swap
I'm in the process of doing a partial rebuild on 3 different motors at the moment, the EJ22t from my Impreza, the Ej22e/Ej25d hybrid turbo, and an EJ22e. By partial, I mean everything being replaced except the bearings and rings. I bought full gasket kits for all 3 engines so they will be set for aw...

Re: Zach's 95 Impreza EJ22t swap
So, I'm building another engine for the Impreza as I want more power and I blew a head gasket a month ago. I will be rebuilding one of my EJ22ts with those forged internals but that won't be ready till Spring. Until then, figured I'd test some limits. Everything used to build this engine is from par...

Also swapped it to a 5spd, will be weird getting used to driving a stick on the opposite side of the car.

Re: 1997 Impreza OBDII w/ EJ22T.. where to start
It would of made the job easier and cleaner. I originally made that jumper harness but it was a mess because I wasn't sure of how it would all go. Now that I have done it, I'm going to make another one that should be a lot better. I'm currently swapping my 98 RHD Legacy AT with that EJ20h I have. I ...

That is Logan (bmxkelowna). Saw his car at WCSS and it is super clean and badass.
