Re: Motor stalls out right before turbo spool
Well I will try that and see how it goes, I figured that the sensor needed to be after the turbo so it would be accurate and not be reading the scavenging gasses. i'll have to compare the controllers narrowband signal to the actual sensor to see if they are compatible, probably not though... It migh...

Re: Motor stalls out right before turbo spool
I do but I have not installed it yet, The controller I have has both digital for the wideband gauge and an analog output for what I assume is supposed to go where the orig 02 harness is...will it work like that or can I use the port on the header's collector, which is pre turbo....I just don't want ...

Motor stalls out right before turbo spool
So I have an odd issue that appeared out of nowhere, whenever the turbo is about to start compressing air (around 2500RPM) the motor wants to die. Not just like that hit the wall fuel cut feeling, it stalls for a second until I let off the gas pedal. Just wondering if this is a known issue with the ...

Thanks, the longest part was trying to reconnect the speedometer cable, major pain in the ass. Stripped out the rear seats and got to work! http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv269/XiseTK/2013-09-06163101_zpsf586d7ea.jpg Bunked out coilovers removed! http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv269/XiseTK/2...

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
That's incredible. I don't see how you could accidentally put a wrench in a hose or a rag in a thermostat housing. Yeah not sure how that happens exactly? The Tstat housing had never been removed before so it was either inside the block somewhere...the wrench just totally baffles me how in the crap...

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Yeah it would seem that way, AND this is the second foreign object I found in there.....That means I was driving for nearly a year with a snap on wrench in there.....I am hoping this is the last random thing that comes out of this motor....

Still can't find the exact correct endlink....this is the burden of JDM, that and not knowing exactly what year the lateral links came from.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
yeah not sure on which ones are going to be the right ones. I know of some aftermarket ones that will work but I don't have the cash for that right now. I even checked on rockauto.com for their UK ones under the few differnt sti years and they were all "C" links.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Also got my intake pipe reducer in the 1.75" to 2" reducer elbow and the 2" aluminum joiner, had to trim the elbow a bit on each end to get it to fit, still has a tiny kink in it but it holds boost much better and man for an auto this thing hauls ass at 15PSi even on the little VF11, ...

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Today I decided I was tired of bouncing around and breaking endlinks so I tore into those V7 struts today. I don't think they are having the issue with the clunking to due the grease issue, but the tophats were just not positioned correctly. http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv269/XiseTK/2013-08-19...

Not sure I know the outback has the right shape but the actual link itself is not long enough...or at least not as long as the sti v3 ones.cj91legss wrote:I feel like thats turbo legacy or legacy n/athat did not have the c shaped endlinks.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
So my Tein HAs are completely blown, it has been confirmed, adjusted them every way possible and no dice. Still waiting to hear back from the place I bought them from to get a refund. In the mean time I think the only reason why my V7s were clunking is because there is a small amount of space in bet...

Re: sti struts+springs question
I can confirm on the V7 setup using 93/94 SS top mounts in the rear will make them clunk. Probably needs washers to make them fit properly, and also the GC/BC brake hoses have a different clamp than the GD struts so you could probably use the brake hoses for a GD for a more prefect fit.

It may be your blow off valve Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2 I was actually thinking that...... Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Well I have fixed my gas tank filling issue, it was as simple as drilling a hole in the valve so that air could flow in both directions....had to drop the xmember and the tank a bit to access the valve. I also repinned the connector so that it completed the fuel sender circuit, was pretty simple. I ...

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Well I got my fuel issue all figured out, turns out the valve on the center of the WRX tank only allowed air in not out so I had to drill a hole in it like so.... http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv269/XiseTK/2013-07-21195243_zps1f3d515c.jpg I also got my HKS filter in the mail with my MAF adapter...

Yeah you must have grabbed a pre-facelift legacy grille, i believe 92 is the year with the newer style front end.
