Re: Built part-out (CT) - Gauges, intercoolers, interior, drivetrain etc.
I'll add a pic of the fender on Saturday when I'm back at my shop. It was the factory fender off my wagon, I kept it to replace a rusty one on another car, I think it was rust free but had a dent near the headlight.

Built part-out (CT) - Gauges, intercoolers, interior, drivetrain etc.
I am looking to clear out a lot of the parts from my 94 wagon build a few years back, the car was rotted and I stripped it and I am now selling most of the performance parts and parts I kept for future builds. Some stuff is new, never used. The VF39, Robtune ECU, and injectors are gone, but everythi...

Here are some pics of the most recent work. Clutch damage after hard 2nd gear pull. Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
Wow been a while. Haven't posted in over two years but decided to check back in since I picked up a 92' SS just two weeks ago. While I'm still daily-ing the wagon, the SS reminded me how great these cars are and made me miss this site. I'll probably start a separate thread for the SS but here's some...

Nice work, looks like you really brought the car back from the brink. Props on seeing the potential through all the mold and neglect!

I don't know a lot about that car, it's my sister's ex boyfriend's. But it has a VR6 in it, I think that's why there's a hole chopped in the hood.Is that a 2.0 16v i see behind that Cressida?

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
Yup, it's a 5M-GE I believe, kind of a slug coupled to the auto, but pretty tough. These cars share a lot with the MKII Supra.Straight 6? Crazy.

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
Hopefully not considered treason, but I picked up a Cressida to switch off with the Legacy so I can work on it. Never owned a Toyota before but always liked these. The only tricky part will be focusing on the subie and not a 1JZ +W58 swap on this thing! http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/80...

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
What struts or springs you running? The car sits on stock 93 SS struts with matching H & R springs. I'll see if I have more details on the springs, like the p/n etc. Buying another car tomorrow to cruise in so I can do some work on the Legacy. It's been my only car for a while now and has reall...

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
Car got pretty banged up last week. A driver was tailgating me in the left lane on the highway and went to pass me on the right and screwed up big time, somehow he lost it and smacked my passenger quarter panel and sent me sideways at 70 mph. The slide felt like forever, but wound up stopping just s...

Re: Geared Turbofan Jet Engine
Cool article. Looks like by the nature of the gearing, the fan and engine rotate in opposite directions, hypnotizing! You can see gear teeth on the outside of the ring gear driving the fan, I wonder if there is more gearing involved that is not shown. I like the Connecticut shout outs too, I wonder ...

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
I haven't used the diff or outrigger bushings yet, the tranny mount, x member bushings and pitch stop took away most of the clunking that was pissing me off so I lost some motivation to work on the rear. I think the next thing on my list is a tranny fluid change. Last time I was under there I notice...

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
I have also been having problems with my Nexen tires, when I switched to the 17'' legacy wheels I went with a super thin sidewall to gain some clearance. I don't know if it's because they are lower price tires or because of the sidewall, but they don't react well to bumps and potholes. One split on ...

Re: ggbox69's 94 Turbo Wagon
Haven't updated in a while, but got my exhaust straightened out a few weeks ago. Here's the old setup, I think it's an ebay bugeye exhaust. I used a clamp and strap hanger on the mid pipe and a long hook hanger on the muffler. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/839/img3650q.jpg The rear han...

Re: Mishimoto Oil Catch Can
Yea it's a real nice looking part, I don't think it would be too hard to modify it into a nice performing part. There's lots of screen/mesh options out there that are easy enough to cut down and fit inside, the tougher part is directing crankcase fumes into the bottom of the can. I might try to come...

Mishimoto Oil Catch Can
After noticing some oil in my intercooler, charge pipe and PCV lines over the last year, I thought an oil catch can would be a good addition to my setup. I looked at what some WRX guys run and found some nice Subaru specific parts from Crawford and Grimmspeed. I didn't want to spend more than $100 s...

Really looks good! This build won me over, at first I was bummed to see a cherry car go under the knife, but now I'm just excited, it's a righteous build!
