I think your all right with it being more hassle than it's worth. fabbing an entire single port exhaust versus swapping a crossmember seems alot of work, and would probably be more restrictive than a WRX exhaust system anyways. Could the rollers increase duration and lift abit? Would this also cause too much overlap negating the purpose of a turbo cam? I would prefer to just run the 22T heads, but the port mismatch concerns me for a long term dd. I will just Fab a single port uppipe off the stock exhaust. (I'm also wonder ...

EJ22T and EJ22E parts interchangeability
I'm considering turboing a 97' NA EJ22E by swapping in EJ22T stock cams, pistons and injectors.
Does anyone know if it's a direct fit? Will turbo cams last with the roller rockers?
(I know it's better to just get a 22T, or do a DOHC head swap, but both are over my budget)
