Re: Worlds ugliest tuners

Awesome website. I kind of like some of the bizarre ergonomics and dash setups in some of the 80s cars.. XT Turbo digital clusters look awesome. edit: http://www.doubleyoudigital.nl/~cars_digital%20dashboards.php Almost makes me wonder if someone has hacked up some display device (like a cheap table...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

Well, I'm not really sure that it explains the massive amount of codes but it definitely resolved the lack of power when car warmed up vs cold, basically not sending the proper signal to the ecu to change fueling so it would run rich and flood out

bump; looks like this problem is now mine :D Grabbed it not running.. swapped the fuel pump, fresh plugs and swapped in a good maf and its running but its still having hesitation issue; It's not throwing codes right off the bat but I haven't exactly driven it a whole lot. Checking the timing later t...

Post christmas garage cleaning: motor, transmission and more

Not super inclined to part with any of this stuff but here we go: EJ22T Motor - unsure of miles on this thing, is in good shape, needs a few seals but has good compression and isn't far from being ready to drop in. Bottom end, heads, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, turbo etc are all here; $700 OB...

Would it be troublesome to just take it back to a stock VF11 until you sorted this? I would think you could probably grab one for free these days.

Got bored earlier and did the power mode switch with a nifty switch to the left of my wiper. Not super impressed with the mod so far but it probably doesn't help that I'm already such a lead foot.

Auburn, Washington. Don't really need any trades and really not looking to ship these.

These don't require a different tune and there are many others with the same cams on the bbs-- can search for a little bit more information if interested.

Rebuilt heads for sale w Delta cams

Tearing things down.. I might go a different direction so these heads can go. Rebuilt EJ22T heads, all seals replaced with OEM, surface decked and a handful of new valves, valve job done, Delta 220 grind cams. The bulk of the reassembly (valves etc), was done elsewhere. Driven <10miles $350ish, loca...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Note to self: I do not own a snowplow.

Managed to catch a section of my lighting wiring on the exhaust manifold below the radiator.. Rewired section and half a dozen blown fuses later we're back in business. Replaced my alternator belt.. Probably way over due for an alignment so that's next.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

I suppose this thread can be about bad things you do, too. Somehow lost my AC belt heading out to the Crystal Mountain area. Later found my AC tensioner piece loose and blocking one of my radiator fans, overheating, woo, and my alternator belt is nearly toast. Awesome. Thankfully I had extra coolant...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

I actually purposely test my brakes quite a bit in dicey situations, icy roads/snow etc-- It's good to get a feel of how things are reacting at a given speed and what suits the situation best before having to find out in the case of an emergency. but back on topic: in the continued rehabilitation of...

02-04 WRX Struts with Espelir ASD lowering springs

These struts are in great shape. Drops things down a good bit but still pretty tame. They felt great and I had little complaints, just not practical for my DD needs/plans.

looking to get maybe $250 local?

Might add pics later. I don't know.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Went back to factory struts/springs for atleast the winter. Installed the 2.5rs five spoke wheels with winter tires. Extra ground clearance is more practical out of the wagon, especially with how much I'm in the mountains. Might grab a vlsd 3.9 for the wagon if I can find one locally.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Replaced my passenger side front turn signal on the Wagon. Was bored so I began mounting the 2.5rs wheels on it to see how it looked with white and if there were any clearance issues with the lower right height.. Not really a fan of those wheels on a wagon. Gave it a bath. White paint ftw. Took the ...
